Ze's Diner Mendota Heights

Definitely our new go to for breakfast. went for lunch and was just as delicious. we love this place and close to home with the next door neighbor feel. They recognized us so we are in as regulars now!

Cute diner that fosters a welcoming environment for many different occasions.

They have classic diner foods and a few tex-mex fusion dishes. Reasonably priced and great staff.

My third time here. Food is always outstanding, but the service is sorely lacking. One server could easily handle the number of patrons, but this young woman was incredibly slow moving, and not the least bit attentive. Always had to flag her down, and then it took a long time for her to get anything asked for. She seems very disinterested in being here.

We went this morning with friends. Been here couple weeks ago and really were impressed with the food and the service.

Today the breakfast food was delicious but unfortunately the service was not great at all.
We all felt that the waitress was ignoring us as soon as we had our meal served. Tried to get her attention for more coffee without success. It seemed like she was always looking in a different direction. After we paid and finally got a refill on our coffee she approached us and told us, we have to leave since she needed the table and people were waiting … to that time right behind us were two tables empty. This never happened to us! Sad, since the place has a great diner atmosphere.

Consistently great food and service. We've mostly gone for breakfast and our favorites are the biscuits and gravy, country fries steak, and corned beef hash. The biscuits are made in house and are always fluffy and delicious. The sausage gravy has just enough kick to it, good size sausage pieces, and good texture. The country fried steak is the crispiest ever! They also have delicious homemade jam. We've only gone once for dinner but that was great as well. Service is always great and food comes out quickly. Retro diner decor is fun and it's always clean. Highly recommend!

The "Mixed Mess" is the best hangover plate in the twin cities area. That sauce! We arrived just after a bus full of athletes had ordered and our our food still came out fast and cooked to perfection. Will be back for sure!
