I'm devastated that this restaurant is lost to COVID -19 closures. It was one of my favorite restaurants in the year I've lived in Minneapolis. The staff was always amazing and the food was exceptional. If any of the cooks or owners are reading this: thank you so much for your service. I'll be looking for what's next from you after the world opens up again.
Delicious food made of great natural ingredients. Excellent atmosphere. Amazing staff. Brilliant for a date night.
Really enjoyed both the chicken and waffles and crab cake benedict during brunch. Bottomless mimosas are a great value too. Also had a particularly great experience with the serving staff - our waiter went out of his way to make it a positive experience.
Was there for restaurant week and their service and meal were just great. They have a good selection of oysters for appetizers too. Very tasty and flavorful food. They also have a great bar with a great whiskey selection
Really bad overall. My girlfriend and I both got the seafood boil and it was extremely unseasoned. The seafood was a good quality but that couldn't make up for the lack of salt. We also got the mac and cheese and rice and beans, also extremely underwhelming. The rice was under cooked and super hard. The mac and cheese lacked flavor. The positives I can offer is that our server was very nice, the ambiance is great and they gave me a free dessert for my birthday.
I celebrated my nomination yesterday in this excellent restaurant. happy to tell that it was a tremendous evening and the place was no doubt the reason for this fruitful event. The stuff helped in a pleasant style, the meals were extremely good and my friends were so pleased. We shall definitely return for more events. thanks very much.
Excellent MPLS seafood escape! Great food and great atmosphere. Clean and sophisticated. The Calamari and the Mussels are a def must for apps!
I had a holiday family celebration at 4 Bells on December 28, 2019. Everything was easy to plan and was set up and ready for us when we arrived. Raleigh Phillips made the planning so easy and was always available to answer my questions. My family and I were blown away by the service and the amazing food. Our favorite things we ate were the brussels Sprouts, snapper ceviche, and the fried chicken. The Hickory room was the perfect size for our family of 8 and the perfect setting to our wonderful meal. I will highly recommend this place and will be back in the summertime to sit on the patio!
We had our company holiday party at 4 Bells and it was outstanding. The space is beautiful, food is great and their cocktails are delicious. They were very accommodating. The waitstaff was phenomenal! I would highly recommend you consider 4 Bells when looking for the best place to showcase the special moments in your life!
I did not have any expectations when I visited 4 Bells, I never heard of the place before I went. My friend took me there for brunch because he really enjoys their food. It turns out that 4 Bells was a great! I ordered the chicken and waffles and it came with some spicy pickles. Honestly, I don’t really care for pickles but the way they marinated them made a great paring with the chicken and the waffles they added an acidic and fresh touch to the dish. The waffle was flavorful and the chicken was tender with a golden and crispy skin which I appreciated. The waiter was really nice and helpful. When we went it was a little loud due a group of people that I guess had too many drinks, other than that the music and ambiance was pleasant.

Amazing Place With Really High quality of Sea for The Best Thin service was so good Highly Reccomend
The chef prepared a special menu for me and my friends and it was fantastic. This is my new favorite place to send people if they have never been. The food is fantastic and the people love what they do (and it shows).
Worth it! Went for brunch and was impressed by the options, pretty traditional brunch fair bit with a seafood / soulfood twist. Old fashioned was high quality and the selection for bourbon is top notch, had the pappy can Winkle 10 year 1 oz pour and the rest of my day was happy as pappy. Good service is a given at 4 bells and this was my first time sitting at the bar, no exceptions on the service. Will be back for $1 oyster Tuesdays for sure. Dishes are eggs Benedict with crab, pocetta, oysters, grits, and hash. All great, Benedict was my personal favorite.
Well they need to go to the Smack Shack and take lessons, their 4 bell boil really wasn't very good. Crab legs were really hard to open, just cooked too long, I think
The beet salad is full of flavor and so beautiful. Try the scallops and pork belly. The pork belly was perfectly prepared, tender and so delicious paired with rice. The 4 bells seafood boil has shrimp, scallops, crab and sausage, potatoes, tomatoes in a flavorful broth. The cauliflower gratin is cheesy and rich, also gluten free. Service was prompt and attentive. Top it off with homemade chocolate ice cream.
