I cpuld NOT be happier with the food and service and atmosphere here. A MUST VISIT in the twin cities. Gorgeous presentation, fresh, beautiful, amazing food. I dont have enough good things to say about this establishment - everything is GREAT but the bread and cheese and meat board are stand outs. Im not a beer drinker, but the ciders available were top notch. GET YOUR BUTT HERE.

I stopped in here this morning and in a perfect world, I would've liked to try one of everything out of their bakery case because it all looked delicious. I did some research prior to coming here and they have so many things I wanted to try! I decided for the first visit, I would try their lemon poppyseed roll and one of their pretzel sticks. I was eyeing up their cardamom bread as well and it is something I will probably get next time I come here.

This lemon poppyseed roll has to be one of the best baked goods I have tried all year. The bread was so soft and each bite was like biting into your fluffiest pillow if that was actually a thing. Someone put their heart and soul into baking this piece of art. The lemon flavor was perfect and I was having trouble comprehending how something could taste this good. I would highly recommend trying this if it's your first time here. I still haven't figured out what poppyseed tastes like after trying it in baked goods over the years but you'll love this no matter what.

The pretzel was good too but my advice is you have to get this fresh and warm right out of the oven to properly enjoy it or take it home, bake it and eat it with some beer cheese or mustard. It was a little cold and while it was still soft with a nice chew to it, I would prefer to eat this warm or reheated with condiments in the future.

The atmosphere was also stellar. This is a super laid back spot with a variety of different comfortable seating options. I could definitely see myself coming back with a book and enjoying more of their baked goods. They also have some savory items like a cheddar bacon chive roll and variations of these cheese and veggie tarts/pies which looked amazing. The staff were easy going and friendly as well. I was also able to pick both of these up for the low price of $7 so the prices are very reasonable too. I honestly can't wait to come back!

Aki Breadhaus is fantastic. My girlfriend and I got their sandwich special with their raspberry dessert along with some of their pastries. Great bread, great food, great drinks. Service was friendly and the pickled veggie freebie was some of the best picked veggies I've had in a while. It's also attached to Broken Clock in case you wanted to swing by and play pinball. I'd recommend checking this place out in a heartbeat.

Whoa. That’s some nuts good baked goods. Not too sweet, which means I’ll be back.

We really enjoyed trying out different German dishes. We had the lammkuchen (similar to a flatbread pizza) for an appetizer and it was delicious. My friends had sandwiches and we all shared a pretzel with one of their specialty cheese dips. I had a leak and bacon savory tart that came with a salad and I enjoyed my meal very much. I also tried the Wunder Beer on draft; although I'm not a big beer drinker, I highly recommend it. It was quite tasty!

Quite the compliment to broken clock. Welcome to the neighborhood. Seeded 3 day fermented sourdough is worth a try!!!

Before Aki's, there was bread. Now, we have brot.

Aki's has the very best breads and baked goods. I have never come away disappointed and visit every time I'm in the cities. Their brötchen is a pure expression of love for bread itself, simple and plain but still incredible. They put this same level of care into each of their products. Stop in, try a pretzel. It will blow your mind.

I'm biased on Aki's as my mom is Swiss, and I grew up eating German type bakery goods. This place is authentic and amazing. The stollen is the best I've had. Sorry, Mom.

Parking: On the river, easy access with a brewery in the building.

Kid-friendliness: Lots of family's enjoying breakfast and kid seating.

Such a great place! It's wunderful. I had the belegtes brotchen, which are open faced sandwiches on Akis delicious rye bread. You can mix and match toppings depending on what you like, but I tried all of them (a lemony tuna salad, a beet salad, and braunschweiger), and loved them. I liked the wines I tried too. Warm atmosphere and really nice people working there.
