Ally's Deli definitely comes off as overwhelming when you pass by it in the skyway. The lines are usually very long, and the area is loud. It is also intimidating that there are multiple lines--I am glad that my first time here was with someone that could tell me what line to get in based on what I wanted to order! Once you get to the front of the line, ordering is way less intimidating. The employees have always been pleasant and considerate even though they are very busy! Food service is quick, but I would not expect to ever eat there. They have a couple tables, but it is so crowded and loud that I would make plans to eat elsewhere. I pretty reliably order their the Italian hot sandwich. I love the toasted bread and spicy flavors it has! Also, their cookies are incredible if you need a treat with your lunch! However, there are so many options that if Italian and cookies aren't your favorite, they have plenty of other menu items you will enjoy!

I love that Allie's Deli exists! Today I was starving and stopped in for a sandwich and a cup of soup. When I asked what he suggested, the lovely gentleman taking my order said "You can't go wrong with half tomato dill, half chicken chili." Sold! I have to say, he was not wrong. All the creamy, tomatoey, dill-y-ness of the tomato soup, with just the right amount of savory chicken and white beans combining to make what is really the soup you probably need. YUM. I got the dense and soft and smushy homemade bread/roll on the side, which is delicious dunked into the aforementioned magical soup, and now I'm so happily stuffed I will be bringing the sandwich home for dinner. Every single person who works here is super friendly, accommodating, and helpful. I don't know how they do it throughout the chaos of breakfast and lunch rush, but it's my favorite place in the skyway. They have premade salads and sandwiches, a menu of suggested salad and sandwich combinations, or you can create your own. I love that you can come here with friends and the low carb friend can get hard boiled eggs or eggs scrambled with bacon and cheese, your vegan friend can get the vegetable sandwich and select from a couple vegan soups, you can get fruit cups, super decadent cream soups, super healthy vegetable soups, any kind of sandwich you can think of and then there are the desserts. Amidst the sea of Starbucks and fast food chains downtown, Allie's is such a happy outlier and we are all so lucky.

Allie's is fantastic!! The food is fresh and always exceptional. I especially love their chicken salad wrap. It's a great place for soups, salads, sandwiches and wraps. I feel like they are the best priced place in the sky way and their staff really couldn't be more friendly and genuine. Bravo :)

This place is amazing, fast, fresh, delicious, and extremely well priced. I've always had great service and never waited more than a few minutes - even during peak times. I love their bagel and egg sandwiches in the morning when my normal breakfast can't cut it. Overall, probably my favorite place in the skyway.

Often times I don't have enough bandwidth in the mornings to cook myself breakfast. I don't need anything fancy-schmancy that's going to hurt my stomach later, all I want is some eggs and veggies to mix into it... that's when I go to Allie's! This is the best place to go for a healthy bite to eat if you're working downtown. The prices are great and I feel like they really give the customer control on being able to pick their ingredients to build what they want to eat. They have the skyway food rush process down to a T so the wait is never long. Highly recommend!

Soups, sandwiches, wraps, salads, breakfast, pasta salads, and sides are all delicious. I love their chicken wild rice soup and fresh bread. If you want home style food at a great price definitely visit allies. The staff are so kind as well.

I've never had a bad experience here but once and even then the staff were on top of the issue right away. The food is fantastic and clearly made with love! The chili mix is fantastic and they always accommodate my crazy fruit bowl requests which is a plus for me. The experience at Allies will have you coming back!

I need to update this to 5 stars. If you work in downtown Minneapolis, Allie's is your go-to place for delicious lunches that are way more reasonably priced than most downtown fare. Don't let the lines deter you. This place is a well-oiled machine and you will be shocked how quickly things move. Plus everybody who works here is genuinely nice. Why patronize a chain like Potbelly's when there's better food for a better price at a local shop? Some of my favorites: --Soup! It comes with two huge wedges of spongy bread. My favorite is the broccoli and cheese, the Wednesday special. --Taco plates! Skip the insane lines at Chipotle. These tacos are way cheaper and pretty darn good. --Salad! Is there anything more overpriced in the skyways than salad? Allie's salads are inexpensive and totally customizable (you fill out a form with whatever you want.) --Dessert bars! These are shareable. Or not.
