Dark roast coffee, toffee cookie and blueberry smoothie are my go-tos. Great spot for small gifts as well.

Alma is the best little neighborhood coffee shop/cafe/goodies trove. The pastries are *chefs kiss, everything is honestly great.Keep in mind that the griddle and the coffee bar are small spaces, and when it’s busy you might have to wait a little bit for your order. Give them time to cook up the masterpiece. It ain’t starbys! The barista can only pull 4 shots at a time—that’s one large drink. The staff is super friendly with a lot of personality. It’s the perfect place to pull up, hang out, have a snack and sip some caffeine. Highly recommend!

Exceptional food and coffee. Highly recommend this café. The pastries are perfection. Staff was lovely and accommodating. All food is made in house! However the wait times for a breakfast sandwich is quick without sacrifice to quality.

Food and drinks are great. They are very slow. Expect to wait 5-10 minutes for a latte if there’s even one person in front of you.

Adorable little cafe and bakery just east of Lake Harriet. With a small ordering space, a few tables that they share with Brasa next door, and an assortment of pantry and home good items, Alma Provisions is the perfect place to grab coffee and a treat. I read about their egg sandwich with pimento cheese and went to check it out the next weekend. Called the Up South, this delightful breakfast sandwich consists of fluffy, scrambled eggs, creamy, cheddar-y pimento cheese, and sautéed sweet peppers and onions that get smushed between a fresh buttermilk biscuit. Really tasty! They have other food items refrigerated by the counter, but I would suggest ordering something that is made fresh. Cute stop in Southwest Mpls!

I've been to Alma provisions a handful of times. I knew it was a special place as soon as I walked in. I've intentionally gone to find little gifts for friends and each time left with a little bags of goodies. Whether you're looking for candles, chocolate or seasonings you will not be disappointed. To make it even better there have been new items each time. Thank you for the variety, the service and a great cup of coffee.

I am so bummed that they discontinued the lunch sandwiches! The banhi mi and turkey were my go to sandwiches twice a week. I’ll still stop in for pimento spread and cookies occasionally. Please bring the sandwiches back!

Cute shop in a nice spot. Wasn’t overly impressed with the ham jam sandwich pretty pedestrian. Coffee was good not great. I’d go back and try a few other items.

Ok - It feels wild to be doing a third review update, but the Mpls St. Paul Magazine released their top sandwiches, which included Alma Provision's Breakfast Sandwich. I went and got one and WOW. I'm fighting the urge to go get another a couple of days later and I think I'm going to lose that battle. PSA: They recommend "the breakfast sandwich," but AP actually has multiple types. I'm pretty sure by the description provided they meant the Up South breakfast sandwich. The biscuit still has the baking soda/powdery flavor a little bit but the pimento cheese and sweet peppers tasted so good that I didn't mind much. I'd give this sandwich, paired with their dirty chai, five stars, but the cafe as a whole is still probably 4-4.5 stars.

It's a cute spot with alma-quality food, although as a guy with a vegan girlfriend, would love to see them make more of an effort to accommodate a vegan diet. A bit baffling that even the oatmeal can't be prepared vegan...

Great quick stop in. Awesome that they have a window, so I can walk my dog and grab a cup of coffee. Had the oatmeal toffee cookie, which was great. Tomato soup was salty. We'll be back to try the breakfast sandwiches. Great part is that there's a door to brassa if you want to sit down and eat.

Very small spot with no seating inside, some tables outside. Opened late into the season so will be bigger in popularity next spring I'm guessing. Unless they open some doors into their sister restaurant next door.Inside they have odds and ends, an apothecary along with some grab and goes. About ten different baked goods from croissants to cookies and such. If you need something more savory they have your standard fair of oatmeal, smoothie, egg dishes and sandwiches (available at lunch time 11am). Though maybe they aren't you standard fair? Only grabbed a latte and cinnamon roll this time around. Both were excellent. Creamy latte and a 50/50 (?) flaky croissant / "regular" cinnamon roll that was dreamy.
