I am an agent for multiple athletes and was told to bring a client to Ava for a good time. The door guy I think his name is Brian was very rude, overly aggressive, and very judgemental before we even made it to the door! Undercover racist and if you have any color to you, your not welcome and this is definitely not the place for you!! Thumbs down all across the board!!! Other than that Minnesota is great!!!

This is such a fun new dance spot! The bartenders and bouncers were great. Sully and DLuv at the bar upstairs were so sweet! The music upstairs was ok but downstairs was great.

They tried to double charge my card after I had already left the bar. The bouncers were very rude to my girlfriend and they charge too much for drinks. The place is very small and way too crowded. Was just a horrible experience.

Not a good place for anybody who isn’t a straight male. My friend who is black/gay was wearing a bandana and looked amazing and the bouncer told him he had to take it off to enter because it reminded them of a gang. The bouncers also plucked two girls out of the middle of the line and said “just you two girls?” and brought them to the front of the line. It felt like entering a frat house. Do not recommend going there. They clearly racially profile black people and objectify women. Disgusting. Not a safe space at all. Also the music literally sucks anyway.

I liked the layout... plenty of lounge space, but the dance floor is the size of two small couches. Also, I was there for all of 15 minutes (9:45pm - 10:00pm) when some over-served drunk oaf tried to start a fight with me. I probably won't be back.

Ava had an atmosphere that is elevated and chic, and the service is always fast and friendly. Sal and Stephen handle the rush like pros, the bartender downstairs, Ali, not only keeps the line moving, but puts on a fantastic show while doing it, and Brian at the door is one of the kindest, most respectful bouncers, especially toward women. Truly the best club experience!
