I had Saturday morning coffee here with my family, and we loved it. The high ceilings give it a peaceful atmosphere beyond the normal coffee house noises. I gave my kid a scavenger hunt to find certain antiques on the wall, and that kept a 4-year-old engaged and content for quite some time as we sipped on maple and chai lattes.

Saw this place showcased on the morning news one morning ladt year & always wanted to visit. Finally made it! The atmosphere is amazing. It reminds me of high-end study hall because I think I was the only one not staring at a device. Various seating to choose from. Couch, lounge chairs, and study tables. As far as food & drinks, it isn't any different than any other basic coffee shop. That was a bit of a disappointment. I'm glad I came to cross it off my places to go list.

This is a very historic spot in Minneapolis. The renovation to the Duffey Paper building is beautiful and Backstory Coffee is in the main atrium of the building. The atmosphere is simultaneously bright and cozy. Enjoyed a light breakfast with a miel - both were delicious.

This little gem is lovely! The interior provides a spacious coffee shop vibe with plenty of seating options. I loved all the industrial parts and plants. I ordered a chai latte with almond milk and vanilla. The service was so friendly and the background music was a nice touch. It definitely gets busy and seats fill up quick so I’d recommend coming earlier. Street parking isn’t the best but you’ll have some options.Dietary restrictions: They have milk substitutes like oat and almond milk

Great customer service! Location isn't ideal, hard to find parking. Busy area. Inside is impressive. The decor is lovely and the atmosphere is peaceful. Big and open space with plenty of seating. The drink itself was made beautifully. The taste was not as sweet as I thought it would be. Tasted a little bitter and the orange flavor stood out more than I would prefer. But overall it wasn't bad. Place is a little pricey for a small drink 9f $6.50 but this place was a breath of fresh air from other coffee places. Recommend a try.

1st stop, the decor.... WOW love the inside of this coffee shop so spacious and cozy. My concern is the limited parking space (street parking is limited and the payment box in front of the bld is not working). Got to order to go instead of settling down and enjoying the moment inside the coffee shop. As to the drink, Unique and yet taste delicious. I wouldn't mind coming back and enjoying this again (in matcha version as suggested by the barista). Also order a 10oz latte and this too is good.

Pretty good spot for coffee in the North Loop! The space here is very beautiful, it's huge and nicely decorated. I really liked the ambiance and it seems like a great place to work or meet up with friends. The coffee is pretty decent, and they have cool merch on display. The pastry I tried had a great flavor, but it was very dry --- I think they might benefit from having a door on the back of the pastry case. Overall, I think this place is pretty good and worth checking out if you are in the North Loop.

One of my new favorite coffee shops! Very large, spacious place. Great decor, lots of natural light and greenery. Quite the selection of seating options to fit your needs (tables for working, couches/comfy chairs, etc). The coffee cake was good but a little dry (however we went towards the end of the day. I imagine in the morning it would have been delicious).Parking: We walked there but I think there was street parking nearby.

Beautiful location! Loved the high ceilings and plant wall. Too many couches for my liking. The Lemon Bar Latte was PHENOMENAL! Going to need to take a trip back into the city just for that! Not strong lemon flavor and the cream cheese added a nice tang!Just wish there was some building history on a plaque somewhere.

Service has been poor everytime. It is like the staff have the worst attitudes. Price is truthfully egregious also, starting latte is 10.50.... that is obscene. Even if you have top quality product. A matcha is $13...Even if staff were friendly I feel like prices do no justify the experience.
