Booked a reservation for dinner through their website about 3 weeks in advance. Received confirmations via email and text but when we showed up they said they were doing a specific event that night and could not honor our reservation. Didn’t even offer a recommendation of elsewhere to go or a voucher for future use. Very disappointing interaction as we are parents that had gotten a baby sitter for the evening to celebrate a birthday.

I had an amazing experience here a few months back. The server did a great job at helping me find new wines I would love, and also recommending food. We were not planning on eating but ended up getting multiple dishes because the first one he recommended was so good! We even got an affogato for dessert, which was amazing as well! Please patronize this place, it is so worth it!

The menu changes so frequently that you should just go and see what they have instead of trying to look it up. I'm not much of a wine drinker so I git a suggestion from the waiter. It was really good! Like, surprisingly good. They were doing fancy hotdogs when we went and they were really good. The noridog was my favorite but I suspect it won't be there if you're reading this.

I took a group here this last week for a tasting and we had such a good time. Everything they served was delicious. I highly recommend the bacon potato pierogis! The owner, Dan, poured the glasses and you can tell he loves what he does. The service was top notch. We learned a lot about the phenomenal natural wines they serve and we will be back again with more people!!!
Dietary restrictions: They were ready with a smile to provide anything my friends needed!

Stopped into Bar Brava at 8 PM on a Tuesday. Despite its busy street location it was quiet and calming.
The service was fantastic and the wine list was varied.
I look forward to coming back to try the food.

It pays to talk to people. We were at a wine tasting at Violet, and another customer recommended this place. So ...off we went. It is rather off by itself on Washington in North Minneapolis. They describe themselves as a wine and tapas bar. A wine bar it is, and a very interesting one. I will get back to the "tapas".
As you might suspect, their wines by the glass were quite interesting. I tried their sparkling white blend pet-nat, Gabrielle, from Australia. Definitely interesting, but not what I was in the mood for. I ended up with the At Roca, a sparkling rose from Spain. Very bright and lovely. My husband opted for a very interesting zinfandel-palomino blend from California, Scythian. He liked it a lot. I liked it too, and I am NOT a zinfandel drinker.
We decided to stay for dinner. They have chefs that work there for one year, so it makes for a continually changing menu. The current chef is from Guatemala, and worked at Fika. The menu is decidedly Scandinavian, and not very tapas-like. However, the food was interesting. I had the torsk, which is a type of cod. It was served on a bed of slightly pickled cherry tomatoes, peas, and yogurt. It was good but it could have been hotter. My husband opted for the salmon with beet risotto. It was served with goat cheese and turmeric, cauliflower on a bed of beet flavored risotto. It was good, but it also could have been hotter.
We said the strawberry rhubarb shortcake for dessert. It was fine.
The menu is not long. There were essentially four starters, a cheese board, four main courses, and two desserts. However, the real reason to go is for the super interesting wine and for the people who are serving it, who know quite a lot about wine. I recommend this place, particularly if you are an adventurous wine drinker.

This place always meets my expectations: great food, great wine, excellent service. Dishes we loved: burrata and grilled peach salad; torsk; potato dumpling. Highly recommend. We will be back!

Interesting restaurant with rotating chefs and menus. We joined on a “Nordic” night and very much enjoyed plates such as smoked trout dip, potato pancakes, Swedish meatballs and a lovely cheese plate. Service was good. Ambiance is sparse and restaurant is located in an odd place with not much else around. May or may not return.

This is a hidden GEM. Food is on par with the best in the city. Spoon & Stable, Porzana, Demi, etc. Great wine selection and personable staff. Their menu changes often so wonderful variety. The amount of people in there can vary depending on the time of week. The parking leaves something to be desired but so worth it. Highly recommended!

Beautiful spot. Trout dip was so good.
Loved the natural wines. I’m not typically a Riesling person but I loved the one I had here.
