Outside tables are cool.
An update to the review. After coming here again and realizing the morals of the owner, I will not be frequenting any of her establishments. No matter the caliber of the venue, we shouldn't condone bad ownership.
The atmosphere is old a rustic I love it the feel I got when I walked in the door the setting outside is where most people sit on. Nice weather days just to see the hustle and bustle of uptown while having lunch is incredible I'll give this place a 10 out of 10 I love then down
I love this place sit outside is the best
We went for a wedding shower and the staff was super accommodating. They let us linger and get in their way. The food was outstanding, and our server was amazing. The only thing was that the music was too loud. Otherwise, we all loved it. I would recommend it.
Every dish told a story — beautifully executed.
Super chill vibe. Didn’t feel rushed. Drinks were fantastic as well as food.
We had a great visit for early dinner. We had a hibiscus margarita, a Sazerac, and a Duvel ale. We shared a steak tartare appetizer and a chicken fricasée dinner. Everthing was perfect. The steak tartar was light, cool and refreshing. The crisps with it were a perfect delicate crispness with just the right touch of salt. The chicken fricasée was absolutely luscious with two pan-fried chicken thighs prepared with a marvelous Maillard reaction for a delicious crispness. The snap peas and onions were wonderfully al dente. It was all served with an incredible cream sauce that was toe-curlingly terrific. Service was friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was a very relaxing and enjoyable New Orleans French quarter vibe. We would bring friends here. Highly recommended.
Libby is hands down rudest bartender I’ve ever encounter. I had an errand to run in the area and walking to my car I decided to stop in and grab a quick bite and something to drink. I sat at the bar because I knew I was going to be quick. Libby comes up and asks what I want so I asked for a water and a menu. I got an ice tea and a croissant to start. I was thinking about a martini and some food but I have never felt like such an inconvenience to someone in my life I just wanted to leave. My partner and I love coming here for our random lunch dates. The service has always been amazing. Libby made you lose a patron today.

I ordered my food online. I was greeted and told someone would bring me my food, that person got on the phone for over 10 minutes while my food sat there and got cold. I complained and the guy didn’t care, his response I’m on the phone. The food was good but would have been better if it didn’t sit there getting cold. About the worst service you can get.

Really loved this place. Had the Croque Monsieur, and it was delicious... loved the cheesy sauce on top! Hubby had the crepe special and thought that was wonderful, too. Personally, I love everything French, so this was a nice treat for us!

I love Barbette's ambient vibe. While the service was a little slow, the food and friendly staff made up for it.

The staff tried their best, and I honestly hate to leave a bad review. And...that said, the food took quite a while and - I hate to say it - wasn't that great? The scallops were overcooked and paired with a spring pea puree that didn't have a lot of flavor. The sweet corn risotto was undercooked, underseasoned, and had very little actual corn. Cocktail/mocktails were watery. Nothing was terrible, but this was my second time giving Barbette a chance, and I don't think I need to try a third.
