From the moment we walked into Bardo it was just one pleasant surprise after the next. We arrived a little early for our reservations so decided to sit outside on the patio for a cocktail. The space is large and comfortable with beautiful plants and a homey feel. Highly recommend.

Creative, simple and tasty. We went in on a Saturday night, they had a really talented band playing but because of the size the restaurant it was pretty loud and made it hard to talk. The service was prompt, drinks were unique and tasty, along with the food. But nothing blew me away or really jumped out. The grit's had the consistency and taste of mashed potatoes which I'm pretty sure were mashed potatoes. The fried chicken in a bun was just that, fried chicken chopped up and placed into a hotdog bun... Although good it just didn't make sense other than the theme. All in all if you like hotdogs and drinks look no further but I was expecting a little more. ($$)

Incredible food and drink options! Incredible staff who went out of their way for my family and some added people to our reservation!

Tried Bardo for the first time and it was great! Met a friend of mine for happy hour and I was impressed with the happy hour menu. Drinks were $8, shrimp and grits $17, and crackers with cheese pimento $5... Everything we tried was on the happy hour menu and it was excellent (though the pimento and cracker plate could of been presented better, it was delicious nevertheless). The bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly (both my friend and I are Asian and we both felt very welcomed there) and we enjoyed her suggestions very much. The decor was pleasant and inviting. Looked like they have a patio too so I'm definitely going to go back when it's patio weather! Overall experience was superb.

This was our first experience at Bardo. From the wine and bread to the meal, I was impressed. The duck was perhaps the best I’ve ever had, the pasta was incredible and the steak melted in my mouth. Even with a slow Wednesday dining room I felt that the vibe was terrific.

I have enjoyed several happy hours and date nights at bardo. The bar staff is 10/10, with decent wine list. The food has always been super nice quality, and if the weather is nice, the patio space is terrific. Kudos for not cramming so many bodies into the space that it’s difficult to have convos.

The cuisine is really interesting and delicious. The drinks are spot on. The people working there are very friendly. We’ll be back soon.

Just a beautiful experience all around. Great service, cocktails, food. We did three courses. I'm a vegetarian and it was delicious and so special. I absolutely loved it. I'm excited to come back with friends for happy hour, their music on Tuesdays, or another dinner.

Food is good, 4 stars, but service needs improvement, 2 stars. Our order took forever to come. Then the wine took time to show up too. Finally dessert order came at different times. In all, not a great experience.

Great place to celebrate a special event or sip a fantastic cocktail at the bar. I'm lucky enough to live a block away and hope they're there for years to come.

I went on Saturday night for dinner with friends and had an absolutely lovely experience. At every point, from walking in the door all the way through the entire meal, the staff was engaged and delightful. They truly worked together as a team and elevated the evening from dinner out to an entire experience that I won't soon forget. Based on the server recommendation, I had the duck, which I wouldn't normally order. I loved it. The wine captain was incredibly attentive and made sure that we had exactly what we wanted with each course. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming on a cold winter night. All around A+ from me!

Literally like walking into Europe. Incredible atmosphere and decor. Quaint and cozy. The food options, flavor, and presentation were incredible. This place is art, with the food to back it up.

Very good service, nice menu choices and drinkwine offerings, and the food was well prepared. Unfortunately, portions were very small for the price.

Shame the website says closed Tuesday’s. It’s just the full restaurant but there’s great live music with Wain McFarlane and friends. Wonderful little food menus and good drinks. Worthwhile night!!!

The food was tasty and relatively reasonable priced. The service was a bit over the top on the presentation in view of the more casual atmosphere of the establishment. Tables, size wise, are more suited to neighborhood restaurant or lunch place rather than fine dining. Still, I like the BYOB with a $25 uncorking fee. Their service and treatment of your wine is very professional.
