This the hippest little sports bar you’ll find in the Twin Cities, right in the heart of Uptown in the former, iconic Shorty & Wags space (if you know, you know). Come for the holy trilogy of bardom: beer, sports & wings. The sports paraphernalia decor is outstanding, with no shortage of nostalgia. I’d recommend catching a Vikings game sometime,as they really get into it - playing amped up songs during commercial breaks, doling out purple hooter shots for touchdowns, and doing sing-a-longs to the Viking fight song. This place is a serious Uptown vibe.

Awesome food, the kitchen guy on Monday 10/13 was high energy, kind, and cooked an awesome burger. Good beer served cold. Also, thank God a sports bar where the bartenders actually know how to operate the TVs.

Beckett’s was confusing. The patrons surprised me. I expected a sports bar with typical baseball cap sport’s fans, but Beckett’s crowd was eclectic, representing Uptown’s Bohemian nature.
Although it was a sunny and warm Saturday afternoon in October, Beckett’s was packed, and I found the only empty seat at the bar. Yes, there were TVs with football on the screens, but no one was watching. With a full bar, the bartender was too busy to interact with a stranger, but his service was professional.
A block from Lake Street, Beckett’s diverse clientele was completely different from bars just a few blocks south. That’s what I’m learning about Minneapolis. Neighborhoods can change just a few blocks away. That’s unique. Beckett’s was fine, but didn’t provide me with a distinct impression.

By far the best customer service i've ever encountered at a bar n restaurant. Mady, a lead bartender (i believe), went above and beyond to help me problem solve a discrepancy with a charge on my debit card. also the service while there was amazing too. The staff are a big reasons why i will return to becketts. Keep it up !!!
I’ve been looking for the perfect sports bar in south minnie and I’ve finally found it ! Great casual vibes, great space including an upstairs enclosed area and an upper deck pack with a projector for the games. Good selection of beers / NAs/ THC stuff ! Lots of TVs and great decor. Highly recommend !!

Went to Beckett's last evening only to find they replaced all their wheelchair accessible tables on their patio. We liked Beckett's because they were a fun & affordable neighborhood bar and my wife could access their patio in her powerchair. We left as soon as we saw the changes they made and went elsewhere.
If Beckett's doesn't want disabled customers then they won't get them.
