I've had a chance to talk with the owner, and hear his heart about the love he has for the people and the community around this amazing establishment. Although George Floyd square and the surrounding community have been impacted in so many ways, they have shown resilence and what it means to stand together. Bichota Cafe is a prime example of great leadership that have purposed in their hearts, that through all that has happened they believe something beautiful can be birthed. Bichota cafe brings family, friends, different ethnic backgrounds which ultimatley speak unity and diversity. This place is growing and will be very succesful in the years to come. I like to go out and do work in coffee shops, since where I live is not terribly conducive to productivity. I came here for the second time today (I had forgotten that I came here before), and this might be my new go-to spot. The Dulce de Leche latte was phenomenal and the Espresso Cubano was a new experience that was exciting.
On top of that, the service was excellent. I know a little bit about coffee, but not a lot. They answered my questions happily, even though there were a few people who had ordered before me. While the coffee quality is intense, the vibe is very easy-going, and the barista (and, I assume, owner) was very friendly. 10/10. Will come back.

Wow - this shop is AWESOME. It was super fun to see a new specialty shop open up in the city. All three of our drinks were fantastic! Best of all, we had the opportunity to meet the owner and chat with him for awhile - what a cool guy. Excited to go back soon!
This is my favorite coffee shop in the city hands down. The mission and vision for a community- and BIPOC- centered space is apparent throughout. I love the thoughtful details from the lotion and feminine products in the bathroom to TaĆno art on the wallpaper. Not to mention the attention to detail when it comes to the drinksā¦ coffee or tea, you really canāt go wrong. Tons of seating and outlets for a work-from-home day as well as plenty of snack options and the empanadas for lunch. No notes.

Possibly the *best* chai in all of Minneapolis. Spice-forward without all the refined sugar to mask it. Carefully poured into a beautiful ceramic cup in a brightly curated cafe space that has impeccable music selection. Make this one of your regular stops, you wonāt regret it.

I am new to this place and already loyal!!! After having the coffees that baristas Kieu My and Paris make are AMAZING. I've seriously gone to so many coffee shops and it just does not compare to here. It's so vibrant and sunny too, great environment to chill, work, read. They also have art nights and community events that are great incubators of spaces to gather. I love Bichota Coffee!!

Honestly one of the best matchas Iāve ever had! Great space to work or study from. Plenty of power outlets and reliable WiFi. It was clean and visually pleasing. Also, really enjoyed the music here, I had to add a few songs to my playlist. I will definitely be coming back here for the beverages and music when I wanna get out to work/study!
