The pizza is pretty good and I would go back again. My wife and I had a pepperoni and jalapeno pie. The crust was pretty good, I would like a slight bit more chew to it, but flavorful none the less. We really liked the sauce as it wasn't too much and very flavorful. Oddly enough the pepperoni didn't have a lot of flavor, but it had a good bite through and was a good size.

They have a good local beer selection and the atmosphere was nice with a section for pickup and dine in. You can also see them making the pies.

The service was fast, attentive, and she boxed the leftover pie up for us.

Parking is a bit of a challenge, so be prepared to drive around to find a spot on adjacent streets.

The pizza was great so was the service. The only reason I lowered the star for “atmosphere” was the speaker over our heads was so loud it was difficult to hear what our other party members were saying.

🍕 Black Sheep Coal Fired Pizza in Minneapolis' North Loop is a must-visit for pizza lovers! The cozy atmosphere and the smell of the coal-fired oven make your mouth water before the first bite. The service is top-notch, and the variety of toppings and specialty pizzas cater to all tastes. Make sure to try their signature Coal Fired Salami pizza - it's to die for! Best time to visit is on a bustling Friday night for the full experience.

We love this place! Great food and the salads are divine. The wait times are worth it. The food is always served fresh and hot.

Solid pizza for sure, but I’m not sure it’s as good as the hype some give it.

Had a house salad and a 16" fennel sausage pizza after the Vikes/Cards game. Food was good, service was quick, and price was decent.

Best pizza in the Twin Cities? Just might be. I wish the owner would allow beer other than Storm King.....

Update as of 12/15/2024 - there is StormKing for $11 dollars. No beer should be above $10 for a 16oz pour.

Vegetarian options: Plenty of options

Parking: Plentiful.

My friend wanted me to try Minnesota's version of my state's best dish. I'm usually wary of pizza beyond my own area. Black Sheep didn't disappoint. Now we stop in every time I visit. Good food and great staff

The pizza was ok at best, not what I was expecting. I feel it was expensive, I do understand the location & that expenses to run the shop are not cheap. However, the pizza is highly over rated in my opinion. I live pizza and I went 30min out of my way to go here. I spent $85, no drinks and my order was wrong. I will say the lemon chicken was good. But not $15 good.

We ordered takeout from this Black Sheep location. The pizza was horrific, much worse than the last time. The only solace was the woman on the phone, and serving the front broke the world's record for saying more "perfects" in the least amount of time.

It was remarkable. "My name is Philip." "Perfect!" "I want a cheese and pepperoni." "Perfect!" "I lost my eye in the war." "Perfect!" "My dog has rabies." "Perfect!" She should be on permanent display at the Smithsonian.

With Wrecktangle Pizza down the street, the Black Sheep chain is easily avoided.
