Nice place for pizza and salad, but limited choices and small space to gather as a large group. Our pizzas were very tasty with lots of cheese and arugula and toppings. Our salad was incorrect, we ordered a house salad and they served us a Caesar salad, very lemony, but we were having such a great time with our group that we did not exchange it. Service was all right, but indoor space and street parking is definitely limited.

Food was pretty good, but service/management was so awful. I had a feeling the owner likes to fight with people in Google review responses and it’s funny to see I’m right. They got my order wrong, tried to fight me over it, and then talked poorly about me and my group within earshot. Also note to the owner since I see you read these - the service charge you put on to every bill is illegal

I guess I don't understand the hype about this place. I've given it a few shots and it's always whatever. If you are Midwestern and didn't grow up with flavor, then yeah you will love it. If you know how to cook with spices other than salt and pepper then you know to go elsewhere for your overpriced food. This last time I ordered food from them (not even judging the 140 minutes it took to get our food), the pie was soggy, the meat was not great. Empanada dough was soft/soggy and the flavor of the chicken and ham and cheese was really just bad.
If you come from bigger cities, you'll find it to be your typical eccentric chef with terrible service and ok food. The best thing I've had from them has been the tangy garlic sauce they gave us with the empanadas. Give me Puerto Rican bar food any day over this nonsense.
If you get a kick from angry patrons, just watch Boludo customers from a distance trying to figure out what they are supposed to do to pickup their food.
Charging a Service fee is the norm nowadays, but now that News has broke that they scammed their own employees. This is now hilarious. “Service Fee”? Nah “Greedy Owner Fee”.
Boludo, you have lost a customer. The 20% service fee is ridiculous, especially since the management ripped off the workers to the tune of $100k. My husband's ham and cheese empanada was all mozzarella and only tiny bits of ham.

20% service charge for counter service is bullcrap. A $17 pizza suddenly becomes $25 and they illegally underpay staff on top of that!

They stole wages from employees and fired one for speaking to investigators. Awful people.
Disrespects workers. Don't give them your money. You'd think labor violations would mean cheaper pizza...

The good: The highlight of the night was the chopped salad that my niece ordered. It was flavorful and well balanced. The pizza was nothing special, especially considering the price. The cesar salad was lacking and had way too much cheese and a very strong, almost fishy flavor. Ordered the flan and the donuts. The flan was bland, and the topping was very, very salty. The donuts... let me start by saying that I love cinnamon, I sprinkle it on my bed sheets at night. But I think this was a cinnamon dish with a side of very chewy donuts. I could still taste the cinnamon the next morning after brushing my teeth. To add insult to injury, they charge you an 18% service fee, but expect you to bus your own table and even get and serve your own drinks and water. I liked the dim lighting and cozy atmosphere. I would not go back.

Under paying the same people that bringing in money is beyond greedy and disgusting! People should not eat her until he pays back to the employees
shame on you for stealing wages and tips from your employees. I will NEVER give you my patronage EVER again.
I've been searching for the best Caesar salad in the city and folks...this is it. 1000/10 the best. The pizza is also great, but the salad is worth the trip.
