Study cafe that can get very busy during the weekends. It can get hard to hear each other when it’s very busy. The drinks are okay and the interior decoration is very nice and minimal.

Great cafe!! Such a lovely place with the best staff!!! The staff here are the best part to me, they're always so kind and put in their all. The vibes of this cafe are so rustic and cozy. It sucks you right in and keeps you there! Their drinks are pretty good, nothing special, but they do special wonders with giving me caffine haha. I'd recommend getting a chocolate chip cookie with your drink because they are humongous and so tasty. This place gets insanely busy while in semester. I'd suggest coming as early as possible to avoid crowds and secure a spot because they definitely will all be taken up when you want to visit. I often see people almost waiting on the side searching for someone to leave so they can sit. Because it's so busy, it also gets pretty loud. This wouldn't be my study spot choice, but it is a nice spot to meet up with friends for a chat. Parking isn't the best, very limited paid street parking. Walking or taking a bus here is a better option to take.

Bordertown Coffee in Dinky Town, Minneapolis is like a hidden spot because you won’t realize it’s a coffee shop unless you already know before and see the sign at the door. It’s cozy and inviting spot that immediately stands out for its atmosphere. The vintage, classic style creates a warm and relaxing vibe, making it an ideal place to study, hang out with friends, or simply enjoy a quiet afternoon with a good drink. The ambience alone deserves a full 5/5, as it combines a sense of history with a welcoming community feel.
When it comes to the menu, the offerings are solid and satisfying. I especially enjoyed the London Fog, which caught my attention as a tea lover, it was a perfect first try, fragrant, smooth, and comforting. I also tried a lemon-flavored cake (though I can’t recall the exact name), which balanced sweet and sour notes beautifully. For me, the food earns a strong 4/5, as the quality was good and complemented the drinks well.
The service was also friendly and attentive, with staff who seemed genuinely welcoming and helpful. While there was nothing over-the-top, it was consistently good and added to the positive experience, earning a 4/5 in this category.
I definitely will visit and try other drinks.

This has become one of my favorite coffee shops. The best part? I always get the chai with oat milk and it is delicious! I’ve also had their chia pudding and recommend it. The staff is always super kind and I love chatting with them when they’re not too busy. They also offer free water when you walk in and the atmosphere is so cozy, it’s a nice place to sit and get work done or just chat with friends. The worst part? When it gets busy, you will be waiting for your order. They try their best to get through orders but don’t go if you’re in a rush and hit their busy times. This also means they will most likely sell out of a lot of their pastries and bakery items. I was told they change them daily expect for the general items of muffins and what not.

I’m not always super impressed with the friendliness of the staff, but I do enjoy going to this coffee shop. The baked goods are tasty and unique (one of my recent faves was a rosemary chocolate chip muffin!). The coffee is great. The atmosphere is tight, but cozy and lively.

Cool space and coffee tasted right. A bit slow in service but it was busy.
First time finding this spot in the U of M area. If you’re not paying attention you could miss it. Cute little spot if you want to get a bite to eat with friends or need a quiet place to study. Don’t come here if you’re in a rush. Each drunk is prepared with great care and detail. I tried their Golden Latte. They have quite a few pastries I look forward to trying in the future.

Iced Latte is just a sugary milk drink. No body or flavor from it. And the little guy at the register didn't give me change for my cash payment. Just assumed it was a tip. Enjoy your 79 cents, I guess. Missed out on a couple bucks for doing that.
