The restaurant was closed so we were directed by the Ivy Hotel front desk clerk to sit in the bar/lounge area. No signage explaining this anywhere. The service was slow, no bread service offered (yet a Bolognese is on the menu?). When the server was asked if any bread was available, she smiled and said, “No,” and walked away. No one ever asked how we were doing, or if we wanted anything else, and we had to flag someone down to get our check. The food was good, however.
Breva has a terrific menu and wine selection as well as a full bar. Our servers were exceptional.
The hotel is locked at the skyway level coming from Orchestra Hall. We were able to get in only because someone came out. We won't be returning until this is fixed
It was a nice way to celebrate Mother's Day. However, I have to say that with a pre fixe price of $45 per person (paid in advance), it felt excessive to charge $5 for every coffee refill, adding an extra $50 on top of the bill for our party. It was also disappointing that the buffet was not freshened more frequently.
Had Easter brunch here. Food was delicious and it was quiet so conversation was easy. It wasn't very busy so may not always be as quiet. Our server was great.
Not worth the money - Breva has become another overpriced hotel restaurant with average food - they also eliminated the pre-theatre menu - Monello (previous restaurant tenant) was much better.
I had breakfast with a potential client and am pleased to report that we both loved our omelets. Also, our server was quick and efficient with a friendly demeanor.
Lovely spot to enjoy an after orchestra meal. Quite at 4:30 - and staff was very attentive!
We dined at Breva before a concert at Symphony Hall, which is extremely convenient. I had a spicy Paloma cocktail which was tasty. My husband had a burger which he liked and I had the steak frittes which I liked. Our server Carlos didn't hover which I appreciated, but timed our meal well as he knew we had theater tickets. All in all a positive experience.
We were pleasantly surprised with our choice for this restaurant before a Minnesota Orchestra concert. The food was delicious, the noise level was perfect & ambience was on point.

The menu was very interesting and innovative, but the food was average. Nothing remarkably good. Well, actually the honey wings were good. Skip the Walleye for sure it was a total disappointment as were the veggies served with it. Burgers were average at best. Service was friendly, but needed to be reminded to bring basics like ketchup and mustard and the dressings we selected for the salads (which were already dressed with a something else). We found it kind of expensive, but we did order 3 apps and 3 entrees - so that was our doing. Will not return.
Environment was great for a working lunch. Noise level was low and service was fast and efficient. Food was delicious, salad and French fries are always my go to at lunch and it was simply fantastic. Will definitely be back. They also carry Coke Zero which you can't find many places!
Giving three stars because the food tasted good. But they were understaffed and everything was quite slow. All of our food came out at different times and most of it was cold. Four in our party were done eating before the fifth person's entree arrived. One of our orders was incorrect and had to be sent back and corrected as well. Hoping it was an off morning but everything just seemed disjointed.
I will not be visiting Breva ever again. The service was terrible resulting in our 4th entree delivered to our table in a takeout box. We arrived at 5:15, ordered at 5:40 and had to run out of the restaurant at 6:52 to our concert venue. We nearly missed the curtain. Drinks and salads came at first. But 45 minutes later the entrees hadn't arrived. The waiter called out - we will comp your entrees-- but no maitre d' or other manager handled the situation. The service was so bad, the quality of the food was irrelevant at this point! 2 of the diners left cash for drinks out of kindness. Don't go to Breva!
The two for $27 dinner is good value. The walleye dip and Walleye dinner were good. The wine is good value. The chicken needs improvement > crispier, with better prepared carrots. Great location to the convention center.
