I do like this place! Tried to take my friend there for first time today, though, and we stood awkwardly at checkout counter in full view of all the cooks/staff for about 5-10 min with no acknowledgement. I couldn't tell if it was self-serve order on iPad or not? Would have waited if someone had said "we'll be right with you!" but it was very off-putting and we just left to go elsewhere.

I just had breakfast at the Butter Bakery Cafe for the first time. It won't be the last. Lovely fresh made food, friendly staff, great atmosphere. Try it out!

Bad service last 2 times we have gone, which seems almost hard to do when you are counter service. Most recently, tried to go with a large group. Was ignored at the counter initially. Finally got their attention and Ordered coffee and drinks/juice while waiting for rest of group to come. Were there for 24 minutes while everyone came. Then we went to order and were told the stove/griddle was not working, so half their menu wasn’t an option. We had a friend whose son with special needs couldn’t eat the remaining items so we had to bail. Finished our drinks and had to find another place with a lot of people on Monday, so lots of stuff closed. Was a mess. HaStuff breaks of course….but that’s a sign at the door situation, or a heads up to an obviously large group gathering when you can’t cook what’s on your menu.

You know those videos of the British kids eating American food? They give em biscuits and gravy and they absolutely love it, well, they didn't get that here. Im sorry, but it was just so bland. Bland. Bland. Bland. Had to run and didn't bother asking for a box to take it with me ?Good prices, good coffee, great staff. ?I'll order something else next time I visit....

Went in for some lunch and was greeted by the CUTEST place. It’s a cozy spot for studying or work, or just to grab some breakfast and coffee to go. Despite being short-handed when I went, the workers were SO SWEET and I had the yummiest biscuits and gravy and a buttered toast latte. I can’t wait to go again and try more things off the menu it was a bit expensive, but I saw another review say that tax and tip are worked into the prices, which explains why I wasn’t prompted to leave a tip when paying :)

Bought a $4 cupcake today. It tasted dry and stale. Very disappointed, normally their bakery tho not cheap is goid quality.Server very unfriendly. They are a non tip cafe; maybe they should reconsider.

I love butter! This is one of my favorite coffee shops, I feel very welcomed there. The coffee and pastries are excellent and there are plenty of healthy and vegetarian options for lunch like lentil soup and kale salad. They have a welcoming space for little ones as well.

This place is VERY expensive for bad food. Four dollars for a cup of black coffee. We ordered two bowls of flavorless Squash soup, two black coffees, and two hot chocolates total was almost $40.00. we had to doctor up the soup just to make it tolerable. The owner did reach out and refund our money for the soups.

Heads up to others that they don't sell loaves of bread here, only pastries and other baked goods.

I got an eclaire and a latte here about a week and a half ago. the eclaire was delicious & the coffee was good (i forgot to ask for oatmilk & im lactose intolerant, but the flavor was definitely there). super laid back vibes & seems like a really community oriented business.

Had the opportunity to visit earlier in 2023 and have been looking forward to going again. Food was great. Good service. Just a cozy spot with a good vibe. Definitely deserves checking out!
