Apple cheese salad is a large pile of mostly cheese. Everyone at the table thought that the meat dishes were overly salty. Cool ambiance but the food just isn’t good- no reason to go here given all the other great restaurants in the metro.

We had a lovely and relaxed evening at cafe Lurcat the day after Christmas. My wife and I needed a day away after hosting family and friends over the holiday and we were glad to have chosen Cafe Lurcat. The menu is small but should provide enough variety for anyone to find something to enjoy- even the vegetarians. Although steaks appear to be the stars of the show we decided to go another way and started with one of their rotating pate starters - this was served as more of an open faced sandwich and while I could enjoy the rich chicken liver I love, the greens and light dressing cut the heaviness of the pate to where my wife could enjoy it too. For the main course I chose the roast chicken breast served with a wonderfully sweet turnip puree and had a winter salad of shredded apples and cheese. The chicken was moist yet nicely roasted with crisp skin. My wife's trout was also cooked nicely with crisp skin but flaky, tender meat. We finished with a nicely balanced chevre cheesecake with just enough sweetness to offset the tartness of the cranberry compote. Through it all, the service was attentive without being intrusive and our table by the south facing windows gave lovely views of Loring park and the the open kitchen.

This has been one of the best " fine dining" restaurants in the Twin Cites for years now. And it still abides. The staff are always excellent. The atmosphere is always eloquent. And the food is immaculately delicious. You can't go wrong with anything you eat here.

Came here for a work event. The service and wagyu steak were wonderful.

Our food was amazing! We overheard 3 other tables saying their dishes were amazing too while waiting for our food. The server forgot our appetizers but apologized and comped some apps later. There was some soothing live music while we were eating too.

Amazing venue and great service! Steak tartare and bread service were very good. Drinks were outstanding! Unfortunately, several of us had the saltiest steaks we’ve ever had, and the sauce on the Chilean sea bass was very sweet and a strange consistency. We would be back to probably just do drinks and apps.

Great food. Especially during restaurant week when places are a little busier. The set menu had plenty of choice for different dietary requirements.

Grateful for Cafe Lurcat, for getting a 18 people reservation on the same day on a weekend night, and then accommodate us with 4 extra last min addition. As much as I felt embarrassed to ask for additional seats, they were very gracious and happy to Accomodate us. The food was spectacular and service was top notch. Thank you again for making my friend's birthday memorable. ❤️

Everything about our wedding at Cafe Lurcat was absolute perfection! Everyone we interacted with made us feel so special and ensured that our guests were completely taken cared of. The service greatly exceeded our expectations and our guests are still raving about the food! The vision for our wedding was an intimate, elegant dinner party and Cafe Lurcat delivered that tenfold. We can’t recommend them enough!

Everything was great except our server. I'll give them a break because everyone has bad days, and all the other staff were wonderful. Poached oysters and steak tartare were the highlights.

First time back in a few years and must admit that the menu was underwhelming. The service was good and the atmosphere was beautiful as always. The menu was due to change in a week or so... which will be a big positive!

The food and drinks were great. Perfect temperature and presentation. The atmosphere was nice as we sat in the front patio on a 75-degree sunny day. Our waitress was patient and tended to our questions and needs.
On a side note, parking can be a little hassle, but they do have a valet.
