This spot is a good spot to grab a coffee. We had breakfast here, but I ended up disappointed. The pictures on Google made it look great, but it didn’t live up to our expectations. So, I’d say lower your expectations before you visit. The place is small, and the staff wasn’t very friendly. What really got on my nerves was the bagel. They just gave me all the ingredients on a plate, and I had to put it together myself, which I found annoying. Overall, the coffee was decent, nothing too special. But be prepared, it’s on the pricey side.

Nice coffee and spacious cafe, but I don't think I'll be back. Baguette used for the tiny $12 sandwich was really tough and didn't taste fresh. For $50 (two lattes, two sandwiches, and tip) I just expect more.

Cool place, good vibes, okay service. Living in the North Loop I have the luxury of having amazing cafes to benchmark them against. Food was great, don’t get me wrong. But prices are extremely high compared to higher caliber food in the North Loop. $5.75 for just a croissant? $15 for a croissant with prosciutto and cheese? You can get the best ham and cheese croissant in the city at Bellecor in the north loop for $6 and the best breakfast sandwich in the state for $15 there as well. Don’t want to distract from how great our food was here, but won’t be back given the value. We spent over $50 for a breakfast sandwich, slice of banana bread, a prosciutto croissant, an Americano and a chai tea latte… that’s a lot. Saw a couple come in, look at the menu and then turn around and walk a block down to Turtle Bread instead.

This location is usually pretty steady with people coming in, but the coffee is great. I’d recommend the salted maple latte. They also have a tomato basil soup that is amazing.

The coffee was wonderful but the baguette was very disappointing, especially considering that it was $12. If you’re looking for breakfast food, I’d rather walk down the block to Turtle Bread that has awesome coffee, sandwiches, and a better atmosphere!

I came here on a recommendation from a friend as a place to work for the day. It's very spacious and has bright light most everywhere. The upstairs area tends to get quite loud, but if you're somebody who thrives working around the bustle of others you will love it. They do have a downstairs area, with much fewer tables, that is a bit quieter. I ordered the ham and gruyere baguette and a spiced vanilla latte. I was a little underwhelmed with the sandwich because it came cold and was quite simply just pieces of ham and cheese stacked on a crusty baguette. Maybe this is a "me" issue for expecting it to be warm and melty. The latte was delicious and had some beautiful art on the top. It was very full so unfortunatelyI did spill it a bit on the way back to my seat. The order was a little spendy, in my opinion, but I felt it justified my long stay there. What I loved most about this place is that there is no pressure to move or leave and I was able to really buckle down and get work done for several hours during my visit.

We went to the location at Wakpada today, because we live in the neighborhood. It was busy, which was nice to see. We were in a hurry, so not happy that I t took almost 25 minutes to get our order. We ordered two lattes and a breakfast sandwich, which had to be heated up. The barista put it in oven to heat up but did not turn the oven on. After over five minutes, one of the the other employees realized that they hadn't actually turned the oven on. So they turned it on and it then had to preheat. The sandwich sat in the toaster oven and I finally had to ask them to give it to me because I couldn't wait any longer. The employee gave me the sandwich but did not even apologize for the excessive wait. Two lattes, a breakfast sandwich and tip was almost $30.00. Too slow and too expensive. Not sure I will go back.
