Came in around 930am, the floor outside Pateen was pretty quiet. Was greeted politely by the barista who got my Breve order done well and quickly. I appreciated the kind and thoughtful bit of small talk she prompted as we closed my order, it added a nice tone to my morning. The breve was a deep rich pick me up.

Cafe Patteen is remarkable. Cafe Patteen has a positive, relaxed, friendly ambience. his menu has every single thing I love and I'm very excited to try it all. The people who work there are extremely nice and welcoming. You won't be disappointed.

Baked goods are fantastic! Perfect for the adult connoisseur of baked goods - these tasty treats use the perfect amount of sugar - a rarity. This light touch makes these baked goods perfect for adults. Baked daily, they're often still warm. I highly recommend the scones they're amazing... I am here for a conference and have stopped by every day since I know I won't be able to indulge like this when I return home.

If so, do you have an email address or a phone number that I can send my mailing address to you privately?I've been to this place many times since i work DT. Today, the short curly hair lady messed up my order; then charged me full price during happy hour (2:30PM-close). I ordered a Breve, which is what I get always. She gave me about 5 oz of liquid in all, which I in turn told her I've always given a full cup. She debated with me about how "everyone wants it differently". I replied, "however the owner does it" which she responded with a very blank look and repeated herself how everyone wants it differently.

Went there today, as they advertised free lattes from 10-11 on Tuesday morning on Facebook. We find out that the wrong time is posted on Facebook and it's from 10:30-11 am for a free latte. It was an innocent error of the clerk, she posted the wrong time on Facebook. When the clerk asked the owner if they could honor the free lattes, since we were 15 minutes early and it was mistake, the rude owner said we'd need to come back at 10:30. We were regulars at Cafe Patteen and walk a long way distance to the independent coffee shops in Downtown Minneapolis. Truly disappointed in the owners response and will not be taking the long walk to visit Cafe Patteen again. The other independent coffee shops will be getting our business.
