Great coffee, great location, great vibes, but horrendous wifi.

I've been to Canteen many times now because it's convenient and offers a nice quiet space to work. Unfortunately though, I cannot recommend it as a workspace if you need a consistent connection (for Zoom meetings or the like). The space is filled with dead spots and you will get knocked off the wifi constantly, especially if connecting via a VPN. If they simply fixed the wifi the space would be a 10/10, but until they do so, I really can't recommend doing remote work here.

Good mocha. Not a single person was there at 7:30 am. Had to look around to find the barista and then he didn’t say a single word to me.

Not a very good value for your dollar. Below average hot chocolate (can't speak for the coffee) but a pretty good muffin

Pros: Nice Space, Free Wifi
Cons: The espresso was foul. I took one sip, tasted it's awfulness and went to make coffee at home

Before I moved away from Minneapolis, I used to live in South Uptown, and enjoyed walking to Canteen for my morning coffee and occasional "toast happy hour." Now years later I had a chance to stop by while in town on business. I had wondered if I would still like this place, now that I'm no longer a local.

And you know what - this place is still awesome. One of my top 3 cafes in the twin cities for sure. Great local vibe, no gimmicks. The fresh baked goods are more original and of a higher quality than most coffee joints. And the coffee itself is made with high quality, from some very good beans. No one behind the counter has ever given me attitude, and I've never had a bad drink here.

I like that there are two outdoor and two indoor seating areas. I remember this came in handy on crowded weekends.

I left Minneapolis because I had to. It just didn't work out. But there are a few places I dearly miss, and Canteen 3255 is one of them. I will return again to get my hot morning buzz whenever I am back in the area.

Love this spot, the vibes are cozy and nice. The pastries are very good. The espresso is often a little over roasted or over extracted, but the coffee is tasty.

Stopped in for a coffee while out for a walk. The Miel was just the right amount of sweet and very creamy. Felt a little pricey, but we are from a smaller city so might just be us!
