We loved everything. The roti and bbq chicken were incredible. And I've never had pholourie before but I highly recommend it. They have just earned a lifelong customer

Decided to try Channa Kitchen after hearing from a Trinidadian about it. Her food is fantastic. It’s very tasty Caribbean food! I loved the doubles and the BBQ chicken dish she serves on the weekends. Order that on Friday or before to pick up on the weekend. The food doesn’t come spicy which might be nice for some, but I really enjoyed the habanero sauce she includes to spice it up. With Harry Singh’s and Marla’s gone, I’m so happy to get to keep tasting such great Trinidadian food.

Never open for delivery from doordash or Uber eats. Sad, because I really want to try this place. Now I have to look for another Trini restaurant.
I’m fromToronto Canada, where it’s easy to find good authentic Caribbean food. I’ve lived in the twin cities for 7 years now and every summer when I go back to Toronto I have to have a chicken Roti. Well last weekend I woke up with a craving and decided to explore to see if I could find an authentic Trinidadian or Guyanese restaurant in the twin cities. To my surprise I found Channa. It lives up to its 5 star rating. I ordered two chicken roti and they were delicious. The curry chicken was seasoned to perfection. Anesa, thank you for a wonderful experience. Now that I know where to go to get my belly full, I’ll certainly be back for more.

Anisa is the sweetest most adorable person. So friendly and loving and the food is out of this world. We had the weekend special a Bake and Shrimp with curry fries and pholourie, which are little puff balls with mango chutney. It was delicious. I would recommend this to anyone who is not afraid of new foods. We will be back! Thanks girl!

One day I decided to check out google maps and see if there was any Trinidad restaurants out there besides Harry Singh. (I never know when Harry is open anymore).
Found this hidden gem, read all the reviews (by the way, it’s all 5 stars). Checked out the website and I was impressed with what channa kitchen had on their menu. The polourie, aloo pies, good luck finding those dishes anywhere else in Minneapolis.
Today (Sunday 18th August 2024), finally placed an order for stew chicken, curry chicken, bake n shrimp (which was the special of the weekend), polourie and aloo pies. I’m currently in a food coma as I type out this review for Anisa’s channa kitchen. Not only is the food super authentic, the owner Anisa is very polite, nice, just a bundle of joy.
As a fellow Trinidadian being able to talk my natural dialect with another Trini was such a joy. She really is awesome, and well the food, just GREAT! AUTHENTIC!! Eating Anisa food took me back to Trinidad in so many ways. Get yourself some of Anisa’s Trini cuisine, you’ll NOT be disappointed.

Glad to see some Trinidadian cuisine in Minneapolis! I was missing a taste of home and Channa Kitchen satisfied my craving. We got the bake and shrimp (a special) and fish choka. The bake and shrimp was delicious with all the fixings of veggies and Caribbean spices. The fish choka was wonderfully savory and fresh with an optional kick of home hot sauce! Even though it was pick up, Anisa welcomed us with such a bright personality! Looking forward to ordering again and supporting you some more!

So good! I had a craving for Trinidadian food and this hit the spot! Doubles were so good, we got the curry chicken and the stew chicken and split them. My god, the favors! The pepper sauce is hot without being too much if you usually do “slight pepper” out of caution, but it’s on the side so do you. Next time I’m gonna ask for more tho, heck, I would buy a bottle.

Delicious food. Fantastic service. Genuine community. I recommend Channa Kitchen wholeheartedly! Here's a story: so I had a surprise birthday party this year. And I get stressed by birthdays, so I was warned in advance... I show up at the house where the "surprise" is happening, expecting a few people I know and something small, and my jaw fell on the floor because my favorite people in the world were there (had been surprise flown in), disco ball, fog machine, the works -- and Anisa from Channa Kitchen was literally personally there at the party bringing a spectacular catered meal of Channa Kitchen! She explained all the dishes (they were all amazing), and was able to hang out with us for a bit, which was really nice. I first met Anisa picking up a take out order in winter when we were out of food and decided to try Channa, and I was so impressed by how thoughtful, kind, and authentic the folks at Channa Kitchen are. And how great the food is! There are no better people to support! Channa Kitchen is a local treasure, 10/10 in every way.

The food was delicious and was rivaled only by the great kindness that was displayed by the owner. True Caribbean flavors, and generous portions. I am definitely looking forward to try the other items on the menu!

I wish I took a pic of the beautiful spread I ordered. I haven’t had anything come this close to the Trini food in Miami.

This “take out only” Trinidadian cuisine oasis is truly a gift to the Minneapolis area. I ordered some Trini favorites including doubles and curry chicken with roti. It was delicious and authentic. I highly recommend Channa kitchen.
