The actual best smoked fish, fresh fish, tinned fish, specialty cheese and accoutrements. You won't find 50 options, but you'll find the best 5, which is why I ADORE this place. The staff are SO kind, love to yap with you about fish, and even struck up a conversation with my 6 year old about clams and flamingos. I'll pick this place every time.

I love this place! The fish is always fresh and the staff are very knowledgeable about it! I can walk in not knowing anything and they take the time to help me understand not only what type of fish would be best for me, bit how much to serve! We buy all our seafood from here now.

The new store is great. It's been that long since I visited last. While I went on a Saturday morning (quite busy), the shrimp I came home with were delicious and fresh, and very affordable. There was somewhat of a wait to select my purchase and to pay for it. I will return during the week as the quality is worth it.

Convenient location if you’re going to United noodles, though the general area is a bit sketchy. They have much more than seafood- bread, brats, fancy cheese. See pics. They can scale and gut it for you. On the sashimi side, all frozen. Didn’t see any salmon. Hamachi was too big!! See pics.

I have been going to Coastal for over 12 years. I have always recommended it to people. But the last couple of years have been a series of disappointments. Last New Year's Eve, all the lobsters died in shipping. I don't blame Coastal - but no notification came through letting me know. I drive 40 minutes to specifically come here. So I arrive to be told I have to accept a substitution. I could have gone to Lund's for a substitution and saved the drive. This year, it was as if they had excess staff and no one running the ship. Security at the door, who never once offered any information. Not letting people in as customers left (ie...2 out, 2 in). No, he waited for 6 or 7 customers to leave over 10 minutes, while there's a line going outside (standing in the cold - including older clients). Then letting in a group of people. Only to take a number and continue waiting. I paid for my order online a week in advance. No guidance on how to proceed. I took a number waited until I found someone available wandering - had to take an initiative to ask they called on a walkie-talkie - I watch as a guy runs in the back repeating my name. Then I watch him start weighing out the crab legs...why wasn't this done in advance? My number was 80. Number 85 was being called when I was finally given my order. So ordering in advance and paying for it, in advance has proven to be against me 2 years in a row. I heard the business sold. I feel like the new owners don't care. It would have never been like this before. I don't know that it's worth the cost or the drive anymore.

Their selection seems endless! We wanted one of everything! But we decided on some King Crab for New Years. We will definitely be back for more seafood when we need it!

Unreal that king crab prices are $109/lb here. Obviosly the fish is great, but king crab legs for $60 more per pound than other places is CRAZY!
