All around amazing. Our server was fantastic, it was very busy on a Saturday night but we didn’t wait too long for anything. The food was stellar, such interesting takes on Mexican. The tuna tostadas and the aguachile were both delicious, really let the fish and a little bit of spice do most of the work. The scallop entree was fantastic, cooked PERFECTLY, the salsa macha was very good and definitely a bit spicy but the carrot puree brought nice balance and volume to the dish....
Colita is awesome. Been several times, especially living only a block and a half away, the temptation is great. Food is always quite good, the shrimp tempura tacos are amazing. Delicious craft cocktails. Love the lively atmosphere, the place is always packed. And the wall of greenery behind the bar is a fun sight.
I have been to colita three times, and love it every single time. Their scallops are one of my all-time favorite dishes as well as the churros! My mouth is watering just writing this review. They have fun cocktails, but I usually get an Agua de Jamaica kombucha which I wish I could buy by the gallon. The only gripe is the seating, it can get very crowded and loud inside. In the summer I always prefer to sit outside. The atmosphere is still lovely though. Service is always wonderful....
