Small restaurant, basically a walkway with tables on the sidewalk and inside. I had the Hoison Pulled Pork Bahn Mi and it was pretty good. Downtown pricing always shocks me and the requested tip 10-20% for a to-go order feels a little extreme... but appreciate having a Bahn Mi option Downtown.

This will always be one of my favorite “hole in the wall” places in Minneapolis. The food is sooo flavorful with healthy ingredients. It stands out entirely on its own from other Vietnamese food joints I go to. The only possibility for improvement would be for them to be open on weekends so I can come in more often 🤣 🙏

I’ve gone past this place for almost 4 years on my bus home and decided today was the day to stop in and try it and I’m hooked! The shop itself is pretty close quarters, but if you’re just grabbing takeout it’s SUPER convenient. Got the vegan pho and I loved it. Feeling under the weather from spring allergies and it perked me right up. The broth is great and I love the artichokes in it. The staff are friendly and I even got a punch card :) I’ll definitely be back to snag some more!

They eventually cancelled our order then cursed us out for their own cancellation? Honestly just seemed unprofessional and unaware of their own systems.

Ordered the lamb and tzatziki banh mi for about $12. Barely had any meat in it. Absolute mid sandwich to be that overpriced.
They probably need to charge those prices because they don't get enough customers to pay for their rent.
Nice people though.

I love this place so much. Don't expect traditional vietnamese pho but don't take that as a bad thing because all of the flavors are there.

Stopped in on a cold day for some lunch and the pho warmed me right up. Took my sick fiancé a bowl of the vegan pho and I swear it almost cured her cold. Would stop in again and try the sandwiches and other pho options.

I didn’t read anything about the restaurant before I went so I was a little confused about how to order/what to order since I am more used to traditional pho spots. The employees helped explain it to me and were super patient and kind. Great experience.

I was very hungry when I went so I didn’t snag any photos before inhaling my soup.

Really cute place, I like the cozy feeling it gives. However it isn't pho, and fusion mix of it does not taste good. If you are looking for authentic Vietnamese food try somewhere else. Otherwise if you're looking for chicken noodle soup, or good old American food then you might like it! Best to the owner!

Sorry not sorry, first and last. Not even mediocre, less than that. I think all I ate was carrots on top of tasteless.

Food was fast. But just surprisingly low on actual content. Would suggest adding more noodles and the extra veggies if you want more of a meal than a snack.

This place is a gem. The small counter service restaurant is humble from the outside, but the soul of the place is the people and food set in the beautiful Medical Arts building. The Bahn Mi and Pho have a solid base in the bread and broth respectively, but purists and snobs be warned keep your preconceived notions of what these dishes are "supposed" to be to yourself and explore the varieties and variations that can be ordered and enjoyed. Roast Beef with horseradish Bahn Mi, yes please, essentialism be darned.

I'm giving 4 stars because I'm stupid and accidentally ordered the wrong item (via Foodsby), but I'm leaving this review to warn people against ordering any of the salads. First of all, the salads should not be listed under Bahn Mi, it is incredibly misleading considering Bahn Mi literally just means "bread", and this grouping on the menu is how I made a $15 mistake.

To the actual review, the ginger chicken salad is a hefty portion of spinach with an absolutely enormous amount of mayo on it - almost unpalatable. If you're expecting Chinese-style ginger chicken, you will be incredibly disappointed. The ginger chicken is small chunks of what I can only presume was poached chicken breast (no color on the meat) that have been similarly caked in mayo.

I would consider trying an actual Bahn Mi from this place, but I'm not eager to re-order after what I saw.
