Over priced hospital food. Unfortunately. Vegan wife wasn't impressed and she settles for less every day!

Good times were had. Service was great. As part of my first time out to MN, I would say this place is easily worth the visit. When done with meal, you bus yourself. Keep that in mind, they don't spoil you here with service of that level, but instead exchange it for delicious food and tasty coffee.Pictured: Shakshuka, Small Hot Mocha, Large Hot Salted Caramel

This is my favorite place. I come here every time I visit Minneapolis. They have a beautiful garden and outdoor seating. The coffee is superb and everything on the menu is great.

I had the lavender latte and plum scone, both were great! Friendly staff, and I love that they use lots of local, clean ingredients! Will definitely be back!

Wow! I went to Common Roots cafe for brunch today, and I was blown away by the fish tacos. They were, without a doubt, the best fish tacos I’ve ever had! They were light, delicately-balanced, fresh, and flavorful. Each bite was incredible, and I found myself telling my friend how delicious they were over and over while I devoured my tacos. The chips and salsa on the side were excellent too, and the salsa was definitely house-made. My only wish were that there were more tacos on my plate. I’ll be back for more tacos soon! I’m very impressed by this dish!

Their drinks are good but I think I had the worst bagel ever here. I'm not a bagel snob by any means but the bagel I got was sooo dry a $4 pack of 8 from the grocery store was better than this $5 bagel.

Love this place! The food and service was excellent!I do wish they had more open hours, but then they are open they are a gem! They are a sustainable restaurant and use produce from their own garden. The food doesn’t get fresher than that! They have inside and outside dining. They also have great coffee/espresso!

Super tasty with fresh ingredients. A great place to go for a light breakfast. And the patio is just gorgeous.

I was here on August 17 and saw a sign outside promoting the new ice cream cones. I went inside looking for one but they were not available. I did order an elderberry scone to eat on the patio. I saw pieces of elderberry but could not taste the fruit. There is a nice new mural off the parking lot.

This was my go to coffee shop to get work done while I lived in Minneapolis. I'm not a coffee person so I would just buy pots of tea, which were super good and very cheap for the whole pot. The food was also pretty good! Tbh since I'm so picky, I didn't try much on the menu because there isn't much I would eat. But I found my go tos and stuck to them. The fish tacos and the mac and cheese were my favorite! The regular beef burger was also good. Aside from actual full meals, their bagels and pastries are delicious and a great option if you're on the go. Overall I just really enjoyed the vibe at this coffee shop and would recommend it if you have things to do but are also HUNGRY hungry.

We are lucky to have this great restaurant in our neighborhood. The food is tasty, they obviously care about the community and the environment, and their expanded patio is beautiful!

I had my sister in law's baby shower here and not only were they so easy to work with and communicated well with short response times, they made a whole menu to fit my sister in law's theme and all of the food was delicious, especially their pies! I can't say enough good things about Common Roots Cafe.
