There is definitely a better way to undergo renovations and that is to communicate with your customers.
Regulars may or may not be back, and you’ve definitely lost any new business you might’ve had. Update your Google profile, get a website (hosting is dirt cheap these days), and don’t rely on a piece of paper taped to your door since it’s 2025 and most people are going to look online for info.

I mean it wasn't what I expected for a hole in a wall breakfast place. The food wasn't fantastic. The server was really chill and nice but slacked on our coffee a couple times and the atmosphere is just what you'd expect. So I kind of thought the food would make up for it. But yeah It was overpriced too for what it was

ETA 8 years later: Ownership has changed and the food quality has gone down significantly. The sausage in the gravy is no longer special and the scrambled eggs are flat and folded. There are cheaper places for this quality now. We won't be back.
Original: I come here everytime I'm visiting family in the area. My parents come here weekly and always get the biscuits and gravy, so I ordered the same on their recommendation. I would have attached a picture of our food but we ate it so fast!

Another staple for breakfast. Huge portions and good pricing. Of course, like most restaurants, prices have increased. However, they haven’t skimped on service or portions. My fav is the banana French toast. You can’t go wrong with the chicken fried steak either. A monthly visit is a must!

Short staffed like most places but luckily the food is good and hot when you do get it, you just have to be patient about ordering and then getting your food. Their to go side seems to be the biggest pull of the staff.
You should try the pancakes they make there. Absolutely delicious. The taste is very unique, almost as if it was the cake I usually make. The restaurant does get a lot of customers so reserving a table ahead of time is recommended if you’re planning on eating there.
