Walk up little neighborhood DQ that's been here for as long as I can remember(at least 20 years.) You'll have to be patient because it's always busy during the summer.
This DQ is the quintessential neighborhood ice cream counter. This place is like a neighborhood community center that also happens to have delicious ice cream. Staff are always friendly and casual, when when it is really busy like on weekends when there are events at Powderhorn.

The ice cream is good. But the customer service wasn’t good plus for some reason this location doesn’t accept the Dairy Queen rewards app. Very odd. The cashier said they don’t have scanners. Other than that good ice cream.
