Fantastic spot for upscale drinks and pasta. All 3 pastas were incredible. The cook on the fresh pasta was that eprfect al dente bite and each pasta had such a unique flavor profile. My favorite was the wild mushroom, but the fusilli was tremendous as well. The king crab was acidic and bright without being overbearing.

Knowing that there's a relatively new Italian restaurant, I had to make an effort to visit, and overall I thought that the establishment had pretty solid tasty food that would allow me to recommend it to others. The portion sizes were a bit small, though, especially for the price. Some dishes were good while others were more on the mediocre side.
To start, I was excited about the king crab spaghetti, but I thought that it was only okay, mostly because the crab meat flavor did not mesh with the saffron chili sauce that provided the spaghetti with flavor. The pasta was al dente which was great. I enjoyed all the other pasta, from the rigatoni to the agnolotti. Specifically, the rigatoni definitely had a spicy flavor that contained fennel and basil, as I could taste them within the spiciness. The agnolotti was very well-made with a good amount of short rib and polenta in it, and the sauce ingredients, red wine jus and parmesan crema, were very fitting. I packed the cappellacci for my spouse to go, and she thoroughly enjoyed it as well.
The caramel apple budino was a good dessert with various types of texture and various kinds of sweetness, since it had cookie, apple, and caramel. I wouldn't call it the highlight of my meal or of the establishment, but it was solid and I would recommend it.
Overall, this is a great place for dates as the atmosphere allowed it, and it wasn't a noisy environment. Prices could accumulate very fast if one orders a lot of food, so to me, this is a "once a while" type of establishment to visit.

Great vibes and great food. I’d order everything again and can’t wait to try the rest of the menu.

I loved everything about our experience!
We had the Fall Vegetable Salad, Doppio, and Wild mushroom and funduta tortellini. We finished the night with
Calamansi Semifreddo which was so bright and refreshing! I almost wish I ordered it to cleanse my palate between the rich and amazing pasta dishes!
The food was perfectly done and the staff was so friendly.
Quite an experience and I will be back very soon!

Seamlessly blending modern trendy vibes with classical comfort food, Dario elevates pasta to mouthwatering levels hard to find elsewhere. Part of Minneapolis’s North Loop gastronomical culture movement, Dario is one part craft cocktail bar, one part pasta bar, and one part art show that feasts the body with plush seating, bright color, bustling noise, and, of course, exquisite taste. Coming in with no idea what to order, I based my choices off of the recommendations of others. Another customer told me that the Beef Short Ribs Agnolotti were the way to go, and it certainly was the correct choice. My bartender Spencer, who brought a phenomenal amount of energy, recommended the Carmel Apple Budino for dessert (which arguably stole the show). Don’t sleep either on the Hiramasa Crudo, adding beautifully lush sashimi to the list of surprises in my Dario experience. This is an amazing date night location for young and old looking for amazing flavor paired with vibrancy and energy. I cannot recommend enough.

We came here with friends and had the best time. Sonya, our server, was amazing and so fun. We loved her so much and she was so knowledgeable about all the delicious food. Will definitely be returning!

If money is not an issue, this may be a cool spot to dine at for the service and atmosphere - very chic and the waiting staff are excellent. Otherwise, the price of each dish makes it hard to justify coming here. We had the maple syrup parsnips with brussel sprouts and while the brussel sprouts are not the main star, literally only two brussel sprouts (cut in half) came with the sparse dish of parsnips. The beef agnolotti was extremely underwhelming and the filling resembled a microwave dinner beef gravy - the beef was so mushed up it was nearly undetectable. The spicy rigatoni was better in flavor, despite being a little too salty. My husband said it resembled Sriracha Mac and cheese. Maybe our taste is unrefined? If you doubt me, taste and see for yourself. But don't say I didn't warn you.

A real test for some places is consistency and Dario has figured it out! The high level of execution of ALL the dishes I have tried is just amazing.

Pasta was a bit undercooked, serving size was small, plus we ordered a sprite with grenadine syrup (regular shirley temple) and were charged $14 for it. Server also ignored my table a few times when we wanted to ask for water refills. The aesthetic was cute but honestly not worth the price nor service we received.

We ordered the rigatoni and fusilli. Rigatoni was great, fusilli was alright. Both were INCREDIBLY overpriced. Two bowls of pasta and a cocktail ended up costing almost 100$. Go somewhere else.

Dario in Minneapolis served up a truly exceptional dining experience! From the start, every dish delivered a unique blend of flavors that felt both innovative and comforting.
We began with the hiramasa crudo, which was delicate and fresh, with flavors like yuzu and gooseberry that beautifully highlighted the fish without overpowering it. Next came a fennel and apple salad with a maple crumble – a perfect balance of crisp, tangy, and subtly sweet that felt refreshing and seasonal.
Moving on to the pasta courses, the doppio pasta was a standout. Filled with sunchoke, ricotta, and topped with honey, hazelnuts, and rosemary, it had an incredible depth of flavor, with the honey adding a slight sweetness that played so well with the nuttiness of the hazelnuts. The textures in each bite were satisfying and delightful. Finally, the short rib and polenta agnolotti was rich and hearty, with the polenta adding a creamy, earthy note that paired perfectly with the tender short rib filling.
The cocktails complemented everything wonderfully, with balanced flavors that didn’t overshadow the food but elevated the entire experience. From start to finish, Dario left an impression of thoughtful, beautifully executed dishes. If you’re looking for a memorable meal in Minneapolis, Dario is a place you won’t want to miss!

The food was amazing. The two of us got the beef tartare, bluefin tuna, cauliflower, doppio, and beef short rib pasta (the portions are on the small side so you need a few options if you want to be full). All of them were great.
The service though didn't live up to the price tag. We waited almost 10 minutes before our server greeted us and another 15 before we got our bottle of wine. They rarely stopped back over, didn't know how to do the wine tasting for the bottle, never topped off our wine glasses throughout the evening, and they didn't know the specials. While little things for the most part, and if our tab was $100 vs $300 I wouldn't be upset, but, the service doesn't match the price tag at all.

Food was great, but the service was absolutely terrible. Gina was our server. The restaurant should be embarrassed to employ clowns like her. Will not be going back.

Super knowledgeable staff. Great recommendations. Fun seasonal specials. Solid cocktails. Great ambience. Handmade fresh pasta is worth a trip in. Parking is tough but I'd park a mile away to eat here again in a heartbeat.
