Pasta is one of my favorite foods and I’ve been to Dario twice and tried multiple dishes. I think it’s very noticeable the love they put into the pasta and the creativity of the ingredients. As others have mentioned you should expect dinner to be a bit pricey but I think the best way to do it is go with a group and try a bunch of things! For a special night out it’s got a great atmosphere, we had great service both times, and I really loved my meal.

I grew up in Italy, and it’s always hard to find an Italian restaurant in the US that truly satisfies my expectations. Dario’s, however, delivers. The pasta is absolutely amazing: fresh, cooked perfectly al dente, and paired with sauces that have the right balance of flavor and ratio to pasta. This is the kind of authenticity that immediately transports me home.
Don’t skip the salads. Both the gem lettuce and the kale salad were excellent! fresh, vibrant, and the perfect way to prepare the stomach for a pasta feast.
The only note I would give is about the desserts. They were just okay: something you could find anywhere, and they didn’t quite live up to the high standards set by the rest of the meal. Ending a great Italian dinner with an outstanding dolce is such an important part of the experience, and I think there’s room for improvement here.
Overall, Dario’s is a gem and easily one of the most authentic Italian spots I’ve tried in the US. I’ll definitely be back for the pasta and salads, and I look forward to seeing the desserts rise to the same level.

We have an amazing experience at Dario! The atmosphere is beautiful, but more importantly, everything we ordered was amazing! Our vegetable dishes were awesome, especially the kale salad. The pasta was perfection and made it clear the chef is not only highly skilled, but very creative. The price seemed very reasonable for the quality of each dish. Go to Dario-you won’t regret it!

The food was decent but the dirty martini was not good.

Very very overpriced, loud atmosphere, small portions. We all got sick afterwords. Please do not go here.

Super cute restaurant! The decor was awesome!
The service was great and everyone was very friendly and helpful!
The best thing we ate was the Hiramasa Crudo. It was spectacular.
We also got the gem lettuces, grilled zucchini, doppio, and goat cheese and eggplant tortelli. All were just ok to me. I wouldn’t get any if it again.
For dessert we got the chocolate cake and ice cream which was just ok as well.
I don’t think this meal was worth the price.

I really love this restaurant. The food is incredible and the service is always great. They have the best pasta in the city and the staff is always on point.
The one big issue is the bar situation. You have to put your name in and they actually reserve bar seats, which makes it nearly impossible to just walk in for a drink or a quick meal. I’ve never seen that anywhere else in the country. It completely kills the spontaneous vibe that makes the North Loop so fun! It’s heartbreaking.
This “reserving bar seat” setup is going to hurt their business and the overall energy of the place. Locals want to be able to stop in without planning days ahead. They should open the bar up like every other great spot in the city, and locals all around will have a place to get delicious pasta.

Went here for a friends birthday back in May. Overall, the experience was nice. However, I made the mistake of ordering a main dish that entailed 1 crushed strip of bacon, 7 beans, and 6 pieces of pasta.
You might be thinking “wow, this girl is dramatic” but after not eating the whole day to really be able to enjoy this meal, I had to go to McDonald’s afterword because my stomach wasn’t even half full.
By far the smallest MAIN DISH at the table. I do not recommend the Cacio de Pepe Scarpinocc, pictured.

We could immediately tell that incredible care and thought has gone into every aspect from food, to drinks, to service. The host, wait staff, and owner were so so accommodating and kind.. We tried a mix of new seasonal dishes and staples like the doppio. Had a few different salads as well. All exceeded expectations! We really look forward to returning for our next special occasion. This place felt very special and a welcome addition to Minneapolis.

My wife and I came to Dario this evening to celebrate our anniversary, and we had Noah as our server. He provided some of the best service we’ve ever experienced at a restaurant. He truly made the evening special, and the food was absolutely incredible—probably the best meal I’ve ever had dining out. Dario is definitely worth checking out, and we will absolutely be back.
Dario has been in the neighborhood for a while and we finally had dinner there. The pasta was phenomenal. We shared the Strozzapetti, the Saffron Orecciettte and the Warm Summer Beans. The pasta was fantastic. I enjoyed every bite.
