Atmosphere and service was good. The food was just ehhhhhh. I had the over priced “Argentina” style steak ( not sure of the exact title) and it was an average piece of meat with WAYY to much salt and garlic. The meat was over seasoned to hide the poor quality of the cut of meat. If you have to dump poor quality seasoning in heaps to hide the meat something is wrong. Too expensive for average quality.

I’ve never written a Google review before but after what I saw here I felt compelled. Came in last week with my wife while we were in town for a conference at Hyatt. Everything was fine at first. It was somewhat busy. Drinks and appetizers were great. We were having a great time until my wife and I watched woman with black and orange hair drop a piece of food on the ground and then picked it up and still served it. We were obviously horrified. We asked our server who she was and they told us it was the MANAGER. I also noticed her and a kitchen employee leaving to smoke by the back door and returning without washing their hands. We were planning on coming there the next night with a group of 15 and because of our experience we persuaded them to go to Brits instead (which was great) I highly recommend staying away.

I got the beet bricheta and it was absolutely delicious! I went with my granddaughter and she ordered the meatball sandwich. We both greatly enjoyed our meal! Highly recommend to anyone in Minneapolis!!!

The devils advocate is THE best place to eat in Minneapolis. On 11/30/25 i went with my grandmother and the restaurant was amazing. The food melted in your mouth and the waiters and cooks were exceptional. Couldn't be any better. When we were about to leave they offered us a free desert or a flourless chocolate tarte, with a coffee toffee light cream and raspberry and cocoa powder on the side. It was THE most BEST desert ever, the plating was great, the taste was great. I highly recommend.

Steak bites & prosciutto and burrata pizza were top notch. Mac and cheese was off the charts. Craft cocktails were delicious! We ended the night with a Tuscan Dawn desert made in house by our server Ronnie! It was amazing!! Would love to visit next time we’re back in town!!

I had a great time and amazing food but I’ve seen from photos that some of the dishes look different now so I gotta go again soon to check.

This restaurant looks very esthetically pleasing, and would be a good spot to have a cocktail. Other than that it has no redeeming qualities. The food is bad, they served my coworker gluten even though she ordered a gluten free pizza, she has celiac disease so this is a major issue. I believe that alone (serving someone the wrong meal when they have dietary restrictions) is enough to warrant a 1 star review, but literally all of my coworkers didn't enjoy their food, a group of 11 people. I ordered a noodle and sausage dish, it was like they ran out of all the salt and other spices in the kitchen, and there was very little sausage. It was like eating a bowl of wet paper towels. Our server was very nice, he did a good job, I feel bad about giving the service 1 star but serving someone with celiac gluten is completely unacceptable.

Hard to determine what went wrong. Order was not take correctly when it was dead. Reordered and it took almost an hour. Server did not seem to care much. I wanted to get up and leave, but others were famished. Nice drink selection and ambiance would have better if we could have enjoyed the time versus being hungry. Writing a week later on a full stomach.

The kitchen stays open later than most and it's within easy walking to all the fun events. Good cocktails, good wine and good beers. Prices are fair and the atmosphere is fun without being overwhelming. A great place to take a date or some friends before or after a show, I imagine it's a great spot to grab lunch too. Dress up, dress down, whatever, you will be treated well, enjoy!

Omg I love this place. I'm visiting family and my brother and I went there for some food and drinks and the atmosphere was amazing. I love the eclectic vibe. The food was delicious and the drinks were perfect! I will definitely be back on my next trip here!

Devil's Advocate was once a family favorite. We've dined there many times over several years and had fantastic food and service. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was awful. The food was poorly prepared and flavorless. The service wasn't much better. For example, they failed to bring one of the dishes we'd ordered, and when we pointed this out they said they'd remove it from the bill, but when the bill arrived the forgotten item was still on it. I could go on, but, in short, this once great restaurant has lost more than a few steps.
