Admittedly biased, but the delux egg sandwich (add bacon, ham, or sausage patty for upcharge) with its buttered English muffin, sauted onion-pepper-mushroom, fresh tomato-spinach, avacado spread, add the NFK house hotsauce and BLAM! BUUUUUREAKFAST! Bottomless drip coffee, nice and strong.
If you want to remember how to slow down and savor your coffee, your lunch, your book, whatever it is - come to Diamonds. Others have commented on the lack of urgency as a negative, but I could not disagree more. It's rare to find this laid-back atmosphere in a café in the US. Don't rush life, it's short enough already.
Great spot for coffee in NE! The atmosphere and overall vibe of this place is awesome. I love the retro and artsy decor, plus the layout of the whole cafe is nice as it's spread out over several, semi-distinct rooms. The service here was great, and the food and drink were decent.
