If you want to remember how to slow down and savor your coffee, your lunch, your book, whatever it is - come to Diamonds. Others have commented on the lack of urgency as a negative, but I could not disagree more. It's rare to find this laid-back atmosphere in a café in the US. Don't rush life, it's short enough already.
Great spot for coffee in NE! The atmosphere and overall vibe of this place is awesome. I love the retro and artsy decor, plus the layout of the whole cafe is nice as it's spread out over several, semi-distinct rooms. The service here was great, and the food and drink were decent. Quirky, art filled coffee shop in the Arts District. A very nice spot to spend an hour over coffee (bottomless mug is spot on, and reasonable). My muffin was a bit ho-hum, but still good. Will be back.
