Cute little place which I've passed by many times. I stopped for lunch (tamales and a take home chili relleno). Good value, taste, surrounded by friendly family vibe and cozy dining room with murals that I bet you won't see anywhere else. Great neighborhood with the shoe store, library, bagels - what more do you want? And, in closing, remember: "la tierra volvera a quienes la trabajan con sus manos"

Stopped in quickly on my way home. Green salsa was fantastic and the taquitos, or what I'd consider street tacos, were delicious and filling. Chips and salsa were good especially with the fresh green salsa. Will come in again, great neighborhood restaurant.

Lets start with the price rating. It is not one "$" restaurant. It is at least two "$$" if not three. For two people to eat a meal at 3:30 in the afternoon cost over $60, over $70 with tip.Next the atmosphere. There were more employees and family/owners than customers and the employees/owners were acting like it was their house living room make noise and making it uncomfortable for us two and the one other person in the restaurant.The food. $22 for a small grilled chicken breast???? The margarita tasted like it was fermenting (old limes). I could not find the cheese in my cheese chile relleno and it tasted like it was fried in old grease.

The food was good, but overpriced for the small amount we received. The service was minimal. For a table of 5 we received 1 basket of chips and 6 little cups of bland salsa. I think everybody each got maybe 3 chipsThe kids chicken tenders had very little meat, were dry and hard. We will not be back. Was really hoping to like this place.
