Amazing food, unbelievable value, and very friendly staff. We celebrated my brother's birthday and enjoyed "All You Can Eat" appetizers, sushi, AND delicious Korean BBQ. I am a picky gal and this place was fantastic. I will definitely be coming back.

this place was spectacular, I had the All You Can Eat and it didn’t disappoint at all. The Bulgogi Beef was top notch and almost melts on your mouth. the Beef Fried rice was also incredible, one of the best i’ve had in fact and eggs, onions and beef surprisingly mesh very well together and makes the dish taste smooth. The Sushi was also notable but the Spicy Mayo sauce was even more-so, this place definitely has their recipes and seasoning down to a T. outside of the food, the Service was really good with both the waiter and waitresses going out and beyond to not only help us but also the recommend us some of the amazing dishes above. This is a nice place to go and get dinner with friends and catch up, the ambience was great and overall it’s so underrated. Highly Recommend Dong Hae Korean Grill & Sushi to anyone wanting to try Korean BBQ or just get something nice to eat with friends and family

Disclaimer: all we got was some takeout sushi so this is not a wholistic and representative review.
That said, the sushi was pretty bad. The basic salmon roll was mostly rice and the rice was the stickiest and gloopiest rice we’ve ever seen in a roll. The nigiri was ok but mostly because the fish to rice ratio was more even. Even so, the fish quality was ok at best. If I were to come back next time I’m in town I would probably stick to the grill menu and not order any sushi.

We had a reservation for AYCE and we ordered sashimi, rolls, tempura shrimps, squid fried, beef rolls but they brought all rolls. At first I thought others food would come later but she came to ask if we are almost done. I had confirmed twice that we had ordered others foods as well she said no till I pretty sure I did order them then she said its too much food already you wont able to finish them and I said I still want it. She only brought some more sashimi. I didnt want to argue anymore would not recommended to anyone. Its such a liar

Everyone, and I mean everyone, came to check on us every so often to ask what we needed. It was appreciated because we were needy and hungry lol. The food was excellent. I was told there's no alcohol, so keep that in mind.
It was quite warm inside. Too warm for me honestly. I think that affected the temperature of my sushi as well. It was too warm. I was sweating before I started eating. Then came the meat sweats.
All in all though, a decent experience.

The restaurant was not clean, napkins and food from earlier in the floor, and the place looks like it is about to close down. The food was good with the exception of the brisket which had no flavour. It was a shame as we were really looking forward to the KBBQ.
It was probably 80 degrees in the restaurant. Obviously the table grills generate heat but the air conditioning must have been on the fritz—wait staff didn't offer an explanation. Sushi appetizer arrived after we were finished with our entrees. No alcohol option was a surprise in downtown Mpls. Food was piping hot, generous portion, and pretty good.
I have been coming here for years and love this place. The staff is super friendly and the food is delicious. I have tried a few options but I loveeeee the soft tofu stew and California roll. Would highly recommend!

Food was good and the restaurant wasn’t too busy for a Friday night. However when I sat down for the barbecue all I got was a card to write what food/portions I wanted and it didn’t have prices on it.
I got japchae which was good but the portion was pretty small for the price and pork belly which was a bit more reasonable. Also you get free ice cream for desert which was nice. I spent over $50 for my meal which included rice and lettuce as extra sides along with the food I mentioned.
