Smells like cigs, occasionally won’t answer the phone. But the pizza is the best there is

On a Friday night during dinner hour before a sold out NBA game mere blocks away, the staff and atmosphere at Dulono’s really fell short. Should have turned around right after we walked in and the inner doorway was completely broken and off its hinges. Nearly killed my taller friend because the upper door mechanism was unbolted and pointing right at eye level in a dimly lit area. Waitress acted surprised we were dining in and not one of the steady stream of food delivery drivers coming in and out. Out of 12 beers on tap, only 2 were available and the rest had beer cups turned upside down. Someone clearly forgot to restock the kegs. There was an electrical problem that made the lights throughout half the dining area flicker which got increasingly annoying. All four of their TVs were playing the same National gymnastics coverage at a loud volume. Word of advice, you’ve got 4 large TVs - change channels on each so there is a bit of variety. Mute them and play some music to improve the atmosphere. Waitresses barely checked in on us once during the meal despite looking like there was not much else to do. This barely got 2 stars from me because the food itself was pretty tasty. Pizza, wings, side of fries. The two beers we ordered were never brought out. If I were to give this place my business again, I’d open an app on my phone and get a driver to drop off my order instead.

This place was once the benchmark for thin crust pizza In Minneapolis. My parents would meet here after school in the 1960’s. I have been a customer for years. When they were in uptown the pizza was always great but the servers were old and surly. When the new owners took over and moved downtown, they started failing. The service was terrible and they were very disrespectful . Today I decided to give them another chance . They told me an hour for delivery. Which is understandable on a Friday night. But 2 hours and 5 minutes later a man who looked like he hadn’t showered in weeks delivered my pizza . The pizza itself isn’t bad. It’s not quite as good as I was but good. But everything else from the ordering to the service to the disrespect is God /Awlful. They won’t change. Do not order from them. They need to be knocked out of the box and put in their place. Do not patronize this place please. They need to learn their lesson and go out of business . They will anyways let’s just make it faster . They are a disgrace to the Minneapolis restaurant scene.

Eat here at your own risk. We ordered pizza and they KNOWINGLY sent a regular crust when gluten free was ordered. The woman was rude on the phone and argued with me about what I received. She finally asked the cooks and they said, "we were out of gluten free." There was ZERO indication it wasn't gluten free! The woman tried to hang up on me and never offered a refund for the wrong item that could literally harm my husband with celiacs - they did not care.

I used to never go to Dulono's because Pizza Shack existed, but after hearing that it was similar to the now-closed-down Shack, I had to try it. I was thrilled to find my delivered pizza to be so entirely reminescent of PS! The crust, the cheese, the sauce....it's all there! Dulono's used to be Uptown so I was surprised to learn they moved to downtown MPLS, but it's just as well, same distance and happy to learn they did delivery within 30 minutes of placing my order. Happy Happy cheese pizza moments were had with the giant sized THIN crust delciousness and this will happen again, sooooon.

this used to be one of my favorite places in Minneapolis far as pizzas goes. I ordered a pizza at 8:30 told me it would be an hour when I called. I had the worst service and customer service experience ever. They told me he was out for delivery with orders, after an hour and 15 minutes goes by I called again to see if they knew where he was or if they could track him. I don't know is what I was told. No, we don't track him and I got hung up on. I proceeded to call back and explain that I am a maître d' at the Capital Grill Minneapolis and I knew of the owner and I thought it was very rude , how they spoke to me just want to know where my pizza was. Hell I was very hungry and worked all day called back after two hours and they tell me where close he's been out for deliveries well where is my my pizza? Can you contact him to see how far away he is with my order? She says no so I waited a few more minutes. I never got my pizza. yes, I am extremely pissed off. No phone call no sorry no nothing. Not sure if I'd ever go back ever again but I will be following up with the manager and the owner. Very very bad customer service skills they should not be in the business of taking care of their guest.

We ordered delivery at 606pm and did not get our food until 850 pm. I was advised that it could be 1-1.5hrs however almost 3 hours is a little ridiculous. The food was cold. Our order was $111 not including tip. Our chicken basket was missing. I called and was told the only person that could help me was Jenna the manager and I was told she is only in 9-930pm and to close. I was told they would have her call me the next day and that did not happen. I called at 915pm and she wasn't in yet and they told me to call at 945pm. I tried about 957pm and no one answered. We've ordered from here many times usually well over $100 each time. It's just disappointing that no one was able to help correct for one the missing food, and next the time it took to receive our food let alone it being cold. This happened once before where it took almost 3 hours however there was a snow storm and we just cancelled and understood. I think if they know they are behind they should be honest and let people know and if orders are going past the two hour mark they should be calling people to let them know maybe they'll make another plan for supper... I'm just really disappointed.

While I haven't been to this spot, we order delivery here and it's always amazing! Our favorites are the Thai Pizza and the Buffalo Chicken Pizza. The delivery is always fast and the drivers are really nice. We would recommend this for pizza delivery any day!

It took 2 hours to get a pizza.Dulano's is in downtown Minneapolis and where they had to deliver was between Lake street and 31st and Lydale Ave S. The pizza was very dry. The crust tasted old and like card board. The toppings were so small, you couldn't even make out what the toppings was on the pizza, very nasty pizza. I remember back in the day, they were very good when they were located on Lake street They always reminded me of Pizza Shack after Pizza Shack was closed down. Heggies pizza from the grocery store tastes better. One positive thing about this experience was the person that took the order over the phone was very nice and the delivery guy was very nice, otherwise ?.

Great food, great service. One of the front windows was broken and replaced by a board and the floor was sticky, but the food and service made it more than worth it.

Ordered late, was told they will deliver it. It never showed up. This has happened twice now because this is one of the pizzas I grew up on. Bad drivers.

Ordered a take out pizza with bacon. They gave me a pizza with sausage. Ok, mistakes happen. And I happen to like sausage pizza. I mean in general. Problem is, this sausage pizza was horrible.

Honestly a decent spot with decent food. Got the boneless wings and I liked them! Had a smoky flavor to them. Service was fine and the lady was nice enough. The atmosphere was a bit weird but overall not a bad stop.
