Dishonest Crooks. Overcharged me 20% for a takeout sandwich. Menu says $12.99 for Gryo sandwich and I was charged $16.00 when he typed it in. Price includes a drink but all he had was warm Pepsi and I don't drink cola. Grabbed a bottle of water just hanging out on the floor in a package. There's a fountain soda machine but no cups. Never going back. Why be so blatenty dishonest? Gyro wasn't even that good.

I got the gyro cheesesteak and I will be getting it again.
Edit: It has quickly turned into my favorite place to get takeout. It's always ready when I get there And is just as good as the last time if not better.

Bad service the bald 🧑🦲 guy that takes the orders he had my meals sitting there when I ask him to grab the food for me he went in the kitchen waste my time I was going to work

The menu online is different. The sambusa says that it's $2 but they told me oh they're $3. I only went there because it's only half a mile from my apartment but I won't be going there again. It wasn't worth the walk. Plus I felt prejudice I'm a white Muslim.

Only reason why I'm giving it two stars is because the food is good. But the owner acts like the soup nat see from seinfeld. He overcharges you. The price you see on the menu is not the price he's going to charge you.
Also, if he ever tries to overcharge you, call his bluff. Take pictures of the menu price. What's he going to do, call the police? Tell the police that he was falsely advertising?

The goat meat came with basmati rice and incredibly good vegetables. He threw in a vegetable soup for free. While the facility needs a little freshening up, I was very impressed with the quality of the meal. Simply delicious!

The restaurant caters for mainly middle eastern customers but there’s something there for everyone irrespective of your cultural backgrounds and taste. The location is not the best because there are populations all around the restaurant that are struggling with addictions. The restaurant too is old and needs renovations but the food and the people are great.
Parking: There are opportunities to park along the street and there’s a free parking nearby for the city Park. You may have to walk 100 to 200 feet but the parking is free.

So definitely read the reviews beforehand, cause they do truly speak wonders for everyone's experience, my date and I came here just for a quick bite to eat before concert and worse experience. We walked in and unsure where to go or if we had to wait to be seated. Looked like tables weren't wiped down. Looking around the place there was broken cabinets and holes that once held something. No one informed us until after we ordered they were out of items, and the mango milkshake should be cold, not warm. Would not recommend would give 0 stars if I could. An African Street market would have been better place was worse then a starving Vietnam town on crack!!!!!

The owner greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home.Overall, East Village Grill exceeded my expectations in both the culinary department and customer service. If you're looking for a place with great food and a welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend giving East Village Grill a try. You won't be disappointed!

This place is awful from the moment you walk into the door! There is no place to walk up to and order "To-Go"...It's smells unclean. The bathrooms appear as if they have never been cleaned. There is NO soap or dispenser for soap and NO paper towels. I suppose you don't need paper towels when you can't wash your hands!?I actually ordered fries to go before choosing to use the restroom while I waited for my fries....they hadn't charged me yet. And I'm happy they did not because that is the only positive thing I can say about this place....ONLY because it allowed me to LEAVE without my order!! I would never consume anything that comes from such an "establishment!"How the inspectors have not shut this place down as of yet... I have no idea!!!??!
