Tried the new location in downtown Minneapolis as I too remember their store in the old Pillsbury Center. Meh. And they don't accept cash. And here I thought that whole "This note is legal tender for all debts, public and private" actually meant something. Also, there are several, much better soup shops within a block of the place.
I order a lot of catering for my office. More often than not, we deal with extremely late orders. This was not the case with Eddington's. Our food (chili and breadsticks for 125 people) arrived early! Our order was hot, packaged nicely, and everything we needed was included. The owner himself actually delivered our order. I'd definitely recommend Eddington's, and plan to order from them again myself.
okay experience. There is an all-you-can-eat option which is good for trying a lot of the different soups. Breadsticks are bland. No crackers. (Soup with no crackers?) Soups are okay, but all are 'Minnesota Spicy' aka a bit on the bland side, especially the beer cheeses soup and wild rice soup. BLAND.
