We bought pupusas from here, and the lady didn’t put the salsa and Curtido in the bag- when we called the lady was extremely rude and said that she gave us 2 bags- and then sent us a video- the 2nd bag was there but behind the main bag and wasn’t obvious that it was ours- they didn’t apologize or anything and pretty much just argued that they were right… not a good way to do business :(
I love the place, the attention and especially the food, one of the best places in the United States 10/10

My experience at Guanaco Bakery and Café IlI
left a lot to be desired. When ordering a beef broth, I ran into several problems.
They provided me with only a spoon, which made it difficult to cut the meat without a fork or knife. Furthermore, the broth was served in a bowl on a long plate, and the rice was at the bottom of the bowl along with the broth. In my opinion, the rice should have been served in a separate bowl for better presentation.
Another disappointing aspect was that they did not offer me water during the meal, something that other restaurants usually do without you asking. Also, the price listed on the menu was $14, but they charged me more than $22, which was an unpleasant surprise. I understand that taxes can increase the price, but the difference was much larger than expected.
These details affect the customer experience and, as a result, make it less likely that one will want to leave a tip. I left dissatisfied due to these issues, and I hope the restaurant takes note to improve their service in the future.

Horchata came in a large cut, very flavorful. Pork and cheese Pupusa was very soft and well seasoned, came with a large thing of spicy picked veggies. The bean empanada was a bit dry, tastes good but I'm not sure on the texture. The fried plantains with cream was tasty, the cream being slightly sour was unexpected. The chicken tamale was okay but very mushy, also contains potato which was unexpected. You can get either chicken or beef tacos, personal opinion is that chicken was better seasoned and beef was a bit overcooked, still okay tacos with a big wedge of avocado.

The portion of the food is bad, you order a leg soup and they give you 80% vegetables and 20% leg.

The most delicious El Salvadorian food in town! The staff is so kind and so friendly give them a big tip! The food is so good I really love their chicken tacos. I come here all the time. I'm so glad they were able to rebuild after everything that happened on Lake street.

We were there for my son birthday ? lunch, and the server brought just my kids' food and never brought my wife and my food orders... just because the food was frozen... They are not selling deily made food. It's a terrible place to go...! We won't be back, never.

We're always looking for the best pupusas in Minneapolis, and the ones at El Guanaco III win! We arrived last night (Saturday) at 9:35, and they treated us kindly as if we were their first customers, even though we arrived almost at closing time. The pupusas were delicious, with the beans and cheese well distributed inside. Also, they gave us a generous amount of curtido and sauce, which is not so common in pupuserias!!The horchata is delicious, delicious and authentic from El Salvador!Last suggestion: I always order bean pupusas with cheese AND loroco, because I love the combination of the three!
Vegetarian options: The pupusas (except the revueltas, those that contain pork rinds) do not contain meat. You can also order a typical meatless breakfast!

I'm sorry, I have never liked to publish anything bad about any restaurant because I know it is a great effort and responsibility, but yesterday Friday we went to buy takeout and it took 1 hour and 10 minutes to top it off, the order was not complete, I asked for an order of pastries from banana and they only gave me one and we ordered 10 pupusas and they only gave me a bag of curtido and sauce for the 10 pupusas they did not give me the cashew water that we ordered and we told them that we had more than 1 hour waiting for the people who arrived after us They served them first, they are very inattentive, oh and by the way, the pupusas and the salty sauce and a stone in one of the pupusas, super bad, we won't go again and we travel 3:30 on the way, bad service ??????
