Comedy show was incredible: bar staff and door staff were so helpful and kind. Security staff and those managing the show were unprofessional, rude, and aggressive. Making unwarranted claims, being vulgar, and physical.

I walked out of the bathroom as the show was starting and was clotheslined by a staff member who started yelling at me that the performer was about to walk through a door nearby (he was already on stage) and I must not move. As I stood there in confusion and attempted to apologize for existing the staff member on the other side swore at me and threatened to kick me out while the first staff member, whom I did not touch aside from her hitting me in the throat claimed that I “shoved her.” I was bewildered by the series of events and tried to smooth things over, but was met by more accusations by the abusive staff.

Hopefully the performer didn’t catch on to the wild and pathetic unprofessionalism. Do better.

Extremely disappointed by my experience at Fine Line during the Blondshell show on June 11. I traveled from Iowa with friends for a birthday celebration, only to be removed from the venue before the concert even started.

I started feeling panicky in the crowded space and, as part of my usual coping routine, I went to the restroom to throw up. I had just eaten and had only one vodka Red Bull, so it wasn’t alcohol-related. I calmly explained this to the staff, even disclosing that I have a history of bulimia. Despite this, they told me there were “too many what-ifs” and made me leave.

I wasn’t disruptive or intoxicated, and I was treated with zero empathy. I didn’t get to see a single song of the show we traveled hours to attend. The whole situation felt unfair and insensitive, especially after being honest about my health.

I hope Fine Line reconsiders how they handle situations like this in the future.

Amazing place to see live music! Dont forget about the balcony, its a great birds eye view and super close to the performers. The floor shakes when the place is rockin.

I had a great experience here! Went and saw Mark Ambor. Lined up an hour before doors opened, and was at the front of the line, meaning that we were about 5 feet away from the stage. Great view from there, but I feel like it could be hard to see from the back. There is a balcony, but I’m pretty sure you had to be 21+. Coat check for $4, fast security upon entrance. Merch line kind of got caught up in the crowd at the end, but that’s inevitable with the little space they’re working with.

Great place to see a live band!

Went to see my favorite indigenous artists! The Snotty Nose Rez Kids! It was so fun and I loved everything about this place, it was like a dream come true for me to see them live and hear them in person for the first time ever! This venue has great soundstage, all around lighting but a more relaxed atmosphere then I expected, better then first avenue! If you ask me! Entrance is smaller but that’s good for safety reasons and they have security and metal detector at the doors, so it’s good and safe! Dance floor is also nice too crowded for me so I stayed by the edges an also made it all mine had my own little dance floor just for me! At the far end of the bar by the exit, it was awesome. I’m not one for heights but it has a nice balcony to view the stage with seating, if you ask me my spot was the best in the building! I had nice cool fresh air and space to sit or dance perfect view of the stage, an amazing view of me if you’re up on stage, I could imagine? Maybe one of the groups members could do me a solid and say so? I was the one in sparkling black with sparkling shoes? But back to my review… this place is perfectly placed right next to a nice parking lot and everything, can come and go if your a smoker, but it’s a public street so you still need to watch yourself out there (it’s Mlps) anyways I highly recommend to both patrons/fans and artists who want to go see or put on a show, I’m not sure what the prices are but I’m going to say it’s worth it and if your sus go see for yourself but I highly recommend the fine line from Amber Dawn (Saint Paul)

Lots of parking options nearby. Well maintained building.

Finally got email confirmation, since their phone is difficult to find and then non one answers after jumping through all the hoops. Basically: Confusion on ticket price/availibilty due to not updating the site once concert sold out.

Original post:

A sold out concert is still advertising tickets on their site. Tickets start at 3X the advertised price and it is impossible to get ahold of anyone via phone to clarify why, even after going through several mins of phone prompts. You are relegated to provide your full name & contact information to submit a request for a response. Rather invasive to just confirm that they are dishonestly advertising.

Nov 2024 situation: La Femme tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door but when I click to buy tickets, the Fine Line site starts them at $84. That is 3X the advertised price. -- If I make plans, pay for parking etc. and show up, will it still be $30 at the door I wonder? Probably not.

Owning the all the major music venues in the Twin Cities should not entitle you to disrespect your patrons' time, money & privacy before even deciding to purchase a ticket.

Great show by Dasha

Rather small , no seating anywhere except for prepaid balcony bar area seats. Sound was great and pretty much everyone could see the stage. Won't be going back because it was just plain uncomfortable mainly.

Kirk Morgan

great place. would like some variety to types of seating. would pay more

Poorly run, the times were not adhered to, leaving people with VIP passes standing in the cold and waiting. Instead of an hour, we had perhaps 20 minutes with the artist. Hardly worth that $88 per person that we paid. And their swag bag was only a tote bag and a journal.

David Colbert

Not the best small venue in town, that's for sure.
