Deceivingly expensive. 20% service charge for literal self-service tap machines, plus you have to get your card "recharged" with funds loaded onto it. I'm fairly sure that when I turned in my card while leaving I must have had leftover money on it or something, since ended up with a bill that was far higher than the value of what I drank. With that being said, the environment was nice.

Chris was an incredible host and even gave a few trinkets to my family and I for coming from BC Vancouver to watch a Vikings game. The beer was great, many types for whatever you are into , and the fried chicken was very good. Highly recommend this place and would 100% go back, and we just may before we leave.Kid-friendliness: High chairs available

I’ve never eaten better fried chicken in my life, and many a yardbird has fallen to my hunger. The wide selection of delicious beers, ales, ciders, wines, and cocktails complemented the “burnt chicken” but did not upstage the tenders, slaw and sandos. I will go back to Minneapolis simply to eat here, if that is what I have to do to get more tenders. Oh, and the cavatappi mac&cheese was amazing, too.Parking: No trouble parking.Kid-friendliness: Kids were welcome here - as long as dad & mom kept them away from the taps.Wheelchair accessibility: Open format with high and low tables. I think the whole place is accessible.

Food is very good, large tap selection, and fun atmosphere. Be aware, the kitchen charges a 20% service fee.

Beer, wine and cocktails on draft! I am just learning to enjoy a beer or two, this place had a fantastic variety, and had non-beer alternatives along with a full bar. Everything is self service, grab a glass, find a table and enjoy. The other part of this venue is Burnt chicken, simply scan the code at your table to order and pay for your selections, the staff will deliver the food to your table. We enjoyed both chicken strips and a burger, both were great. Ambiance sports bar/pubish

Arguably one of the BEST chicken sandwiches ive had in a lonnnnng time! Drink selections were good. As someone who doesn't drink beer these types of places can be a hit or miss but the cocktails are great, not too syrup-y. Overall ill definitely be back and DO recomend.

We held a pre-wedding event here and First Draft was SO accommodating. They were very flexible to book and with our group size. We had a lot of people in town from different places and they all loved the pour-your-own drinks style...there was something there for everyone. I would definitely host another event there again - they were great and so organized!

First Draft - 5 starsBurnt Chicken -3 starsThis is a really cool setup. It's self pour beer, wine, and cocktails. When you arrive, they check ids and then you get a wrist band that is linked to your credit card that you use to tap the drink you want, and then pour however much you want. The price per ounce is listed on the front of each tap. The cider had was $.44/oz so about $7 for a 16 oz glass. They have ciders, beers, wines, kombucha, and a few different cocktails on tap. I tried a couple ozs of a few different drinks before choosing. You could also make combinations if you wanted like a kid at a soda fountain. If you don't like any of those, there is also a bar where you can get your standard mixed drinks or shots (but you pay separate - not with your wrist band)For food, there is a QR code on your table that you scan to order from Burnt Chicken. The menu was a lot different than the menu you can see on the website. In addition, they were sold out of a lot of things when I was there. (No chicken tenders, no burgers, no wings). I ended up getting a basket of fries. The fries were plentiful and good.As for service, I did a great job getting my drinks! In all seriousness though, the staff was friendly, helpful, and explained the entire setup to us very well since it was our first time.

Stopped into FD for the first time in a long time. Two changes were a turn off.1. "20% service charge- they give you a wrist band that is attached to your credit card;- you get your own glass;- you select your beer of choice and help yourself;- want water? help yourself. What service????2. They discontinued happy hour. NO happy hour specials. The food looked good but we went elsewhere to eat because we were turned off by the 20% service charge. Now that I have read through the reviews, it seems the 20% service charge might not be applied to the food.

I forgot my Oakley sunglasses on the counter when I left and could not get a hold of them. They’re phone rings and rings with no answer. I would like to find out if they are still there before making my way downtown walking fast face is bare and I’m bar bound.

their spicy chicken sandwich is stellar, spicy, crispy, savory, sweet, and the burnt sauce should be sold by the bottle. my bf said this was his favorite burger place. Cons: if you do want to try the beers, you’ll be charged a 20% fee, even though it’s completely self-serve. and, the restaurant itself has friendly staff, but you always have to search for help. basic things like napkins, silverware, or to-go boxes , shouldn’t require me having to ask for these things with a meal. i’m being charged a 20% fee , which is fine, because i tip more anyway, but with that, can i get some napkins, silverware, and a box?

We really wanted to like this place. We didn't. PROSClever name - names? Technically, two establishments, two names. Sleek exterior. Gorgeous interior. Great ambiance. Friendly service. Clean environment. Organized self-serve tap. Smart ordering + payment process that ensures zero possibility of missed tabs or messy payments.CONS1/ Ordering process, while smart, is also heavily limiting in omitting choices we had to flag down a server to request. 2/ Noted by my friend: Cushioning on the benches and chairs would be great. 3/ We were craving fried chicken. The whole reason we were here was for that fried chicken. Burnt Chicken sadly did not deliver. Since that was the point of this visit, the rest of this review is dedicated to the state of the poor chickens that died for such a disappointing result. R.I.P.In other words: If you're looking for opinions on the beer, keep scrolling. :)I ordered sweet potato fries and a burnt chicken sandwich, because I love pineapple. My friend went for the chicken tenders, which come with classic potato fries. Both orders of fries were on point, and we eagerly moved on to our chicken after focusing on our crisp fries while chatting for a while. And were both immediately disappointed.I. Fried chicken tender breading should never be thick, let alone as thick at some points as the chicken tender it's encompassing. Since the coating was so thick, every bite was soft and soggy as opposed to the crisp crunch we were craving. In fact, I opened the eatery website just now while writing this review and immediately laughed at seeing "crispy" and "crunchy" being consistent descriptors on the site. Not even remotely accurate.II. The chicken seasoning balance was odd both to my friend and to me. So much so, in fact, that my friend just decided to denude the rest of her chicken - well, until she gave up entirely and just ignored her chicken in favor of her fries for the rest of our chat there.III. I lasted three bites on my sandwich. From the first bite, the high level of salt was already noticeable. I had hopes that the bun and the tangy pineapple and slaw would help mitigate the saltiness enough, but no. This is actually normal in a bar setting, where the establishments benefit greatly from oversalting every item on the menu to ensure a steady stream of drink orders, and I was amused in realizing that I had, of course, just ordered this in a brewery. I quit and focused on my fries as well. At least the breading issue wasn't a problem on my chicken. The server offered to take the item off of my tab, but forgot about it entirely.4/ My friend paid her bill first, since I was waiting for my bill update, and she commented that an additional 20% gratuity had been pre-selected for her on top of the 20% obligated service fee. I'm undecided about how I feel about that move as a business. It feels rude to pre-select 20% on top of another 20%. Two stars for design and service intentions, mainly because I reserve 1-star ratings for deliberately rude service and the like. My friend almost left her to-go box behind in regretting her decision of taking her leftovers to go upon the server visiting with boxes. Between this experience and Raising Cane's, I'd opt for the fast food joint - and I haven't even been there in at least three years.

Absolutely phenomenal place. The food is 100 out of 10. Legit one of the best meals I have ever had. Great selection of drinks. Multiple bomb seltzers. Excellent service and some fun games to play. This place should be packed every day. Truly a gem.
