We had reasonable experience in the beginning. Food was fast and prompt. But very salty meat. All you can eat, so as if they make them too salty. When we were eating quite bit and we asked for more, they purposefully gave us salty part of meat which was outer skin part. We asked for just water to drink, they brought a large bottle of water. We didn't know we had to pay for water! Anyway, $16.50 for 2 large bottles of water we were charged. It is a SCAM. The restaurant should provide great dining experience with great food. We felt like they were pure money making business and they don't care about you if you don't spend more on drinks and eat a lot. Don't want to go back there. I guarantee they will be out of business in next couple years if they don't change things.
I requested a special experience for my husband's birthday. Milestones birthday. We were sat by a service station where dished were being stacked, only 4 servers came by to slice chicken twice, tenderloin and sirloin. The horrid pineapple was forced upon us before anything else. Multiple times. My husband has been sick since our visit Saturday evening. Fogo is a NO GO. Was way better when it opened. People don't even dress up any longer. T-shirts and ball caps for a minimum $69 dinner per person. We will not be going back. Fogo is comparable to an Outback Steakhouse. Thank you for ruining his dinner and the following 3 days. We deserve our money and time back for a horrid experience.
We were excited about going to this restaurant for the 1st time after hearing such good reviews, but our experience was nothing short of disappointing. We did not wait long to be seated shortly after our planned reservation time, the server went through the menu and then we were told by a ‘manager' that we had been seated at someone else's table who were at the salad bar! We were escorted back to checkin and were seated again after about a 5 minute wait. To our dismay we were agin told we had been seated at a table where customers were already seated (they were at the salad bar). We could not believe for a higher end restaurant that this had happened a 2nd time! After being escorted back again to reception, we were seated after about 5 mins for the 3rd time of course we made sure before sitting down this was defiantly a table that was open! We had a semi-apology from a manager who we felt didn't really care, ‘things happen' was the words he said. Our table server was actually really nice and did apologize for the bad start we had add and was attentive throughout our experience. The queue for the salad bar was a long line, but at that point we needed to eat so we waited! For the size of this restaurant in our opinion there should be a second salad bar, the restaurant was completely packed. The service of the rotational meats to the table although slow was tasty and we enjoyed what we had although we had to ask several times (10-15 mins between each meat selection). We gave up after a while! The tasty meat was not enough to turn it into a decent experience, for the cost you pay the service should be so much better. We were very disappointed.
This place is wonderful, but the food was not as good as usual yesterday. The beef ribs were too fatty, and both the parm pork and garlic beef were overcooked. Everything else was GREAT (esp. picanha, bottom sirloin, lamb), though. Market table was fantastic! The service was wonderful, except the first young man who served our table (I believe Angel) wrote down my phone number for a discount and then did NOT give me the discount, so I had to do this all over again for another server. That was a bit annoying.
The staff here was impeccable during our visit. I love never having to ask for more water, and that the Gauchos are quick and very well practiced with meat temps. This place is my home away from home for a reason, the team, the food, everyone, they're all amazing. Much love to the Minneapolis Fogo team, keep up the unbelievable work!!!
I took a friend for his first and everything was absolutely amazing. I couldn't have asked for better service. Thank you all again for the great food and service. We'll be back again soon.
The food is really great. I would just advise not going on a weekend (even if you have a reservation).
We had reservations at 7:15 and arrived at 7:13 to check in, but we weren't seated until 7:50. This completely defeated the purpose of having a reservation. Once seated, we planned to go to the salad bar, but the line was extremely long and wasn't moving, so we eventually joined it and still had to wait. For the price—$69 per person—the experience wasn't worth it. We waited far too long for each slice of meat, and the extra side order of lobster took so long that we ended up canceling it. Overall, the delays and long lines made the visit very disappointing. This was my son's first time there, and we were celebrating his birthday. Unfortunately, the experience was so disappointing that he has no interest in returning.
I was so excited to check this place out with my boyfriend. They were running behind, which was no issue as I completely understand. Once we were seated, things continued to go down hill. The market table was great, but after our first initial order of drinks we never saw our waitress again, which left us with empty drinks for the rest of the time we were there. We were forgotten about with meat, but if we wanted pineapple we could have eaten it all night. Didn't complain as other tables around us were complaining, however, I doubt we will ever return. $170 is a lot for poor service and one round of drinks and the market table.
Horrible service. It was very cramped and all they cared about was filling tables. Once sat, we were completely ignored. I complained, but that didn't seem to matter. I won't be going back and will be telling others not to waste their time and money. It was my boyfriend's birthday and he had never been there before. I am very mad at how we were treated. We weren't even given a dessert menu or offered dessert.

We had a group of nine celebrating multiple birthdays. From the moment we arrived the staff were very attentive. The table they sat us at was roomy enough for us all. The manager that waited and our waitress both treated us exceptionally well.
Busy night. Difficult getting refills. Food was brought out slowly. Waited a long time for certain cuts of meat. Felt like we spent quite a bit of money as a family and received slower service than usual.
My only regret is that I got full before I tried everything. I did get to try all the meats available on the Best of Brazilian promotion. My favorite meat was the picanha. I may go back one of these day and do just the Market Table. I put a small amount of everything I could on my plate to just try everything, but I only scraped the surface. Food was delightful and the service was great!
I paid for an experience I did not receive. Repeatedly asked for cuts of meat and never got them
Fogo is one of my all-time favorite restaurants. This night in particular however, the servers were slower than usual in bringing out the meats and the variety was not what it usually is.
