Frenchman's Pub-Richfield

Burgers are great, just well executed old school bar food. Staff can be spread thin but usually it's not their fault and they're always friendly. Tried their fish and chips for the first time and was pleasantly surprised, crispy fish and great tartar. Over all it's what you would expect out of your local minnesota dive bar.

I have been going to Frenchman’s for many years. Almost always have had good service and great food. Today unfortunately it was different. It was Wednesday, 10/8/2025, an afternoon. I came in at a table and was greeted right away with my server, and I was very nice and polite, and I said I would like a beer and just a moment to order food. My server came back with my beer, but never came back after to take my order. I saw my server came to greet another table near me, but didn’t acknowledge me. I was avoided for 50 minutes until I just decided to pay for my beer, leave, and go someplace else. That was very unprofessional. I do like Frenchman’s, but this experience was not good.

The dry rub wing dings were good but the chicken was quality was a little below average but the rub made them better. Grilled chicken was good with onion rings but maybe I’d try something else next time. Seems like a good place to have drinks. Service was a little slow. They have pull tabs which is a plus!!

Drinks are strong and the bartenders are insanely attentive

Overall we liked it and felt good about it. The service was pleasant and the food was ok. It was positive to have nice service, and prices were reasonable. We would have slightly preferred a little lower level of sound with the music and such. It is a nice 'neighborhood' bar.

Server comes by once every 20-minutes, literally clocked it after three visits. Might be my “appearance,” but hard to tell since I look related to the waitress. But yea, four visits, and four massive disappointments in service. Also. I work nights so I i’m only there during those 11am-3pm hours. It’s comical how long I’ll sit there before seeing a server. Oh, and once you get your first beer, just order from the bar. She won’t come back unless she’s knows you.
