Terrific dinner at Gia Saturday evening! The carrot and beet starter was colorful and delicious, the salmon and scallop mains impeccable, but the highlight was the dessert of poached pears with a flavored crème anglais sauce for which we insisted on getting spoons to capture every drop. The service and ambience tied it all together.
Nice local Northern Italian menu and comfortable atmosphere. We started with the Bruschetta made with white beans… very nice balance of flavors. You order your entire meal up front but the wait staff does a great job of spacing courses and clearing. Service is above average. Nancy had the Ravioli verde which she loved. What a great experience! The restaurant’s not big, but walking in the space was light, airy and homey. Our waitress was wonderful and took the time to explain the drinks and dishes in detail. We started with some little crackers and roasted nuts with rosemary, which was a nice salty crunch. My group then shared the arugula salad and the zucchini fritters.
