Changed their recipe to everything on their menu and not like what it used to be. Very unfortunate.

Offerts a wide expanse of traditional Indian dishes, did not feel crowded or too busy, and the food came quickly for something so flavorful!

Was very surprised with the Taste and Quality of food as we had looked up rating prior to placing the Order.
Overall, much better Indian Food available in Twin Cities and this place is very poor on taste.
For Details on what we got:
1. Kadai Paneer - 1/5
2. Bhel Puri - 4/5
3. Samosa Chat - 2/5
4. Gobi Manchurian - 1/5
Plus quite a delay in our pickup order even-though place was pretty much empty
Food was below average. Ordered momos which was disappointing and was a bit muddy due to cabbage maybe. Worst part was the service, they did not even provided cutlery and we had to ask for that and did not served water and had to ask for water as well.

I used to come here all the time during college and the shrimp curry was so good. However, I recently came in as I was driving by and it seems like they changed the recipe. The curry wasn’t as good as before and tasted kind of antique? I also got the naan, and I knew it was a couple days old because it was very stale and sour.

Tonight was my last meal there. This used to be among our top choices in Minneapolis for dining. This evening we had to ask to turn an air conditioner on. I had Chicken Tikka Masala, the meat was very tough, sauce did not have much flavor. Then, there was a hair.
Restaurantji Recommends
This was takeout: I generally love the food here. However, this time the food was fine mostly, but the Biryani that I ordered mild was extra spicy and the 2 orders of Papadum I order were both badly burned and horrible tasting. I'm very disappointed that the restaurant would send out clearly burned food.
You ready.? Waiting 1 hour on your order? Welcome to Gorkha
I went to Gorkha Palace with my 3 adult grandkids. I normally don't review until I've been to a place 2 or 3 times, but it was fabulous. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. We all like Indian food but we are not experts. They have a large menu and he spent time answering questions and making recommendations. We shared everything. Started with the combo momo with 2 each veggie, chicken, and bison dumplings. Wonderful. I may make a meal out of them. Then golgappe. A very light crispy shell into which you spoon potatoes, a sauce and tomato chutney. The presentation was beautiful. I should have taken a photo. The main courses were excellent as well. We had 1 veggie, 1 lamb, and 1 chicken stew type dish. They all were in flavorful sauces. We also had the clay oven chicken Tikka. I highly recommend that dish. We asked for medium spice on all the items and it was just right. The naan was some of the best I've had. I wanted a mango milk shake. I loved them when I was in India 50 years ago. But I can't drink milk now. My granddaughter gave me a taste of hers and it was just like I remembered. We were there on New Year's day. It was moderately busy and had lots of parking. An all around memorable meal. We will return.
Parking: Parking is close but it is shared with other businesses during the day. Plenty of parking after 6.
