Food pretty good. I like the flavors. Got Beef chow fun, chicken fried rice, fried dumplings and chicken subgum chow mein. The color of the chicken in the chow mein was shockingly white not sure what they do to achieve this color. It was scary to see at first I did not even know what it was. It’s as white as paper…. Makes me wonder what and why??? 🤨
There's a reason this restaurant has been around as long as it has! Great food, large portions, the Mock Duck was fabulous! Also, split an order of the Steamed Dumplings and they too were amazing! The owner is a really nice guy, came to our table and chatted with myself and my former bandmate for what seemed like 10 minutes, the food was hot, fresh, really tasty, and we received our order in less than 10 minutes of ordering, that's huge when you're on pressed for time!
Great food. The Beef Szechuan Style that I had was really good. Liked the spiciness it had in it. The place is decently convenient, as it is along the route 6 bus which is every 30 minutes, but it will be served soon by the E Line which will be more frequent, which will be good and will make it easier to get to this restaurant
One of the best Asian-American restaurants in the Twin Cities. Timely service for take out. A ton of great sfuff on their menu, but try their sizzling rice soup (this is a hard-to-find item) and their soup dumplings are incredible.
Great food and excellent service!

Walk into the restaurant and there are easily 20 people waiting in a very small entry way (plus more people waiting in their cars) and it was dead silent with what felt like festering, silent MN anger. Turns out they were woefully behind on orders telling everyone who showed up to come back in an hour. Mind you, I had already waited 2.5 hours for my designated food pick up time. I love to support our local Chinese spot, but this has happened too many times. The food is fine and standard Chinese food, never any complaints there, but need to give more accurate wait times or just stop taking orders if you can’t handle it. Asked for a refund because it was clear I would not be getting my food and can find plenty of silent angry Minnesotans elsewhere (which they had every right to be).

Great Wall has great takeout! I had lots of friends over, and we all got delicious, flavorful entrees we liked. Order early, because the Great Wall is very popular and busy!

Terrible. Like abnormally terrible lol. I wouldn't eat the food for free let alone pay for it. The orange chicken was litereally breading covered in sauce, I don't think it had a full ounce of chicken in it. The Lo Mein chicken was disgusting, just a ton of celery with plain boiled chicken and some gross generic sauce. Honestly couldn't even eat it from how bad it was. Worst Chiniese I've ever had. Do better

When two longtime Chinese restaurants closed in SW Mpls., I ventured further west to give Great Wall a try and man am I glad. I’ve discovered one of my new favorite restaurants of any style. After falling for their chow mein over classic, crispy noodles, I’ve been making my way through the specials and other standards for the last few months. All the entrees are fresh and flavorful. Their spacious dining rooms are a pleasure to visit, and the generous portions last for one or two takeaways. Hunan Triple Crown, chop suey, kung pao and chicken with garlic sauce are my current faves. I visit when my favorite server Gracy is there on Saturdays and Wednesday evening. Service with a smile and she’s made some winning suggestions I wouldn’t have known. Other Chinese places have come and gone, but it’s obvious why Great Wall has endured for half a century.
Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room for power chairs.

Prices are outrageous. Ordered the kung pao chicken and it was almost all peanuts. They also sent the wrong dish and refused to acknowledge. They also only give a small portion of white rice for two meals. They are way overpriced for the quantity compared to other Chinese restaurants. Don’t recommend.

The host at the counter was rude and seemed like he didn't want me to dine in. The egg rolls tasted like they were from a box and the cream cheese wantons tasted like they're were refried in dirty oil. The chili oil was old and smelled rancid. And to top it all off he tried to tip himself for very poor service. I always tip and tip well but the service has to be good. Now i have to watch my bank account to make sure no other charges appear and wait and see if I'll become ill. And the attitude I got from him when I said I wasn't going to tip was unreal 33 dollars for bad food and bad service.
