it has good vibes and I noticed the price points for entry, its 10 normally, and then 30 on special occasions, like NYE and Halloween.

If you’re into the emo/gothic scene this place is awesome! Everyone is their weird self and they have shows on both Friday and Saturday!
Decent drinks. Dirty, smelly, and ran by Reddit mods.

I’ve been going to ground zero for a few years now. Recently, the last few times I have gone, I’ve been pretty disappointed. The $30 cover fee on Halloween weekend was ridiculous— if I would’ve known before we made plans we wouldn’t not have gone. Will not be going Halloween next year, that is certain. I feel bad that there are only two bartenders. The male bartender is amazing, even if it was busy. I was in line to get a drink, my money in hand, and I was skipped over and had to wait once nearly 10 other people were served just to circle back to me. Could have been an honest mistake so I can let it go. I understand that ground zero and the front may not be doing so hot in this economy, but a $30 cover fee each is ridiculous AND you packed the club to the brim. Halloween night feels like the least welcoming night as well due to all the normies who show up. Men’s restroom is not safe— there are a lack of stalls and privacy which is not welcoming to the LGBTQ community. For a place that serves a large amount of queer folks, you’d think they’d do a better job at it. Could be a good and fun place, especially with the fun k*nky stuff, but it’s not worth it when the cover fee is high or it’s too full. If you need more $$ to run your business, advertise better rather than turning what is supposed to be a fun night into a bad one. Owner’s daughter is doing her own social media advertising, but that’s about it. You really only ever hear of this place word of mouth, and unless things change, I won’t be promoting it any longer.

Halloween night. I understand it’s busy, but it’s a bit ridiculous there was only 1 bartender upstairs and 2 downstairs. Waiting times for a drink were 45 mins, nearly an hour.
Basically payed money for this venue to wait for an overpriced drink. Pretty ridiculous.
Besides that, good vibes, good setup, good music.

Y'all claim to be queer friendly as they get but don't have doors on the stalls in the men's room? Y'all ever thought about how not all men stand at the urinal? This is my fave place to dance but a staff member literally told my trans friend "tonight is not the night to raise it" when he tried to talk to them about it. Disappointed, to say the least. We brought him for his first time, and I'm confident he'll never be back.

Really disappointed after coming here last night looking for a LGBTQ friendly place to dance. There aren’t safe bathrooms for trans men as there are no doors in any of the men’s stalls. The staff was really dismissive and hurtful to me when I tried to give feedback. Y’all claim to be a supportive venue but I left feeling that I’m not actually wanted here as a trans person.

I love going to Ground Zero. The Chapel shows are always really enjoyable. The dom(me)s that perform are talented, hot, and know how to work the room.
The decor is super fun mixed with a perfect amount of cheesy. They switch things up sometimes, too so it's not always the exact same decorations.
As a queer and trans person I usually feel very comfortable here. Although i know that in the past others have had negative experiences.
I haven't ever been séxûâlly harassed or groped here, which as a femme presenting person is unfortunately common at most bars.
I don't feel unsafe walking to my car at bar close in this area neighborhood. It is well lit, and i can typically find a street parking spot around the corner.
Cash-only may be inconvenient for some, but it doesn't bother me, especially when there are atms on site.
I did pay $5 for just a 6oz or so cup of soda which is an absolutely egregious price. Even with inflation you can't justify charging that much for a fountain soda.
I really wish they would bring on thc canned drinks, though! I wouldn't mind being wildly overcharged for my beverage then 🤣
As someone who is sober from alcohol, i do appreciate that they don't serve the non-alcoholic drinks in a weirdly large glass or different type of cup than their cocktails. I don't like when other bars make non-alcoholic drinks stand out.
