Went to check this place out & oh my WORD it’s packed on Saturday night!! Very loud, felt cramped inside, so I quickly asked if they sell pitchers (they don’t) got a highlife & went to the patio. It was okay, yet that became packed most the evening as well. They had glasses on the table outside with luchadores on them 🤷♀️ why, as it’s not a Hispanic place at all.
I did have a very nice lady came to sell jewelry she had made, I bought some crystal earrings from her…best part of the night.
Tried their pizza, it’s like having a frozen pizza…I’m from NYC so I’m pretty snobby about my 🍕 lol.
You can’t hear the music inside, so I used my cell, no one danced, just stood around talking. There was a fire they started in a can, the highlight of the evening. Honestly it was pretty boring, will not go back. Yet if you really like this sort of place, go for it. Be prepared ladies, you have to wait for the only one private bathroom; pretty clean though.

Let us forgive ourselves in advance for the sins we will commit. They say not to get Gizmo wet after midnight but Grumpy’s accepts any and all hatchlings from the back of the Mogwai. To have the freedom to go full gremlin when the moon shines and yeee friends want a fine kindling indeed. I would offer my soul to the devils within, just to have another night at grumps on a whim. To sin is to live and for that I must ask you to love and forgive.

Bar tender with grey beard and HORRIBLE ATTITUDE should have sat this new years OUT . The way my guest and I were treated was beyond disrespectful. Communication sucked and the bartender served us drinks we didn’t order and charged a hefty price for them . ED the bartender treated us less than human . Barely trying to hear us when drinks were ordered . Gave us wrong drinks and charged us for wrong drinks . Will not be back and I do not recommend ED the bartender serving ANYONE DRINKS when he should be resting or finding a job that he actually likes .

We were told if we wanted a quintessentially Minnesotan experience during our visit to go a neighborhood bar in N.E. Minneapolis, and Grumpys came up time and time again. What a home run. Just a cozy, welcoming feel. It was full of regulars but we felt right at home as visitors. Long tap list filled with local options and very friendly staff. We had originally planned on leaving and checking out a few breweries nearby but had such a good time at Grumpys that we just stuck around instead.
Cool, iconic dive bar. Nice people lots of high end liquors. Crushed on the Jaws pinball machine.
