I was a regular here in the early aughts (maybe even late 90's?) and these days I stop in occasionally - a couple of times a year, maybe? - to reminisce over a nightcap (or two). It's got a slightly different vibe now than it did then, but what are you gonna do? Times change. Staff is still amazing, including some of the folks I've been seeing for years. Incredible beer selection. My usual #1 reason to stop? They can make a Rusty Nail, which is my favorite cocktail....
Pete was the absolute most polite and receptive bartender. He had my glass more half full than empty and shared good words and wisdom. If Pete offers you advice… get ready to prosper….
Grumpy's is a classic. It's everything you'd expect in a dive bar.You can't not like it. Yeah, the patrons can be annoying and entitled, parking sucks, the bathroom is not stellar, they sell Veggies pizza, and it's always loud. That's what makes it the bar that it is!NA options: I love that they have Guinness NA! I also love that the bartender served the beer in an actual Guinness glass!
