Food was delicious. Got the steak and eggs, French toast, Cuban burger, and breakfast sandwich. Bread was the highlight for me. I would definitely come back for the French toast and to try any of the sandwiches. The place is a little small and it is popular. Also you have to seat yourself after ordering at the counter.
Meal was Pescado Frito: Breaded whitefish, white rice and black beans, and plantains. This is the first time I’ve had the desire to write a review for any restaurant, because food was exceptionally delicious. Very reasonable price. Interior is pretty basic but I liked its quaintness. I didn’t mind at all that you go to counter to order; server does bring food to table. Fantastic experience. Will be returning.
This place is very hit or miss. I’ve had a few different dishes with varying success. This most recent visit I opted for the creole shrimp bowl since I had only tried the coconut sauce, which I thought was good. However, the creole sauce was basically just a bland tomato sauce. They also gave us yucca instead of maduros. Online it seemed like they were out of bread so why not just also add the maduros to that list? Just meh…
