Great food! Hummus tasted very fresh and the rice was amazing!
Great food for great prices! The service is very friendly. The food tastes as delicious as it looks. I have tried the chicken steak, and the Sambusas. All are delicious.

Amazing food! The goat was SO good, literally fell off the bone, rice flavor was incredible, and chapati was soft and very good with the hummus. The service was so kind and brought out complimentary lentil soup and Somali tea for each of us. The online menu seems to be a little off, some of the prices are actually lower than they’re listed for. Would definitely come again!

delicious food, friendly staff, and a great price for the meal! I had the salmon with rice and it was so good. I love that the banana and drink were included in the price, super great value. Staff was very nice and helpful and we had a great time here!

Hamdi Restaurant is an amazing Somali restaurant with some of the best food I’ve had. The flavors are rich, fresh, and full of tradition. Everything is cooked really well and tastes homemade. The portions are generous and very filling.

One of the best—if not the best—Somali restaurants in the Twin Cities when it comes to both food quality and customer service. I especially love their lamb wasla with rice—a perfectly cooked lamb dish prepared in a truly unique way. Whenever I’m near the cities and need a good meal, I make it a point to visit this restaurant, no matter the distance. I’ve been dining here for the past ten years, and their dishes have consistently been delicious. The flavors even remind me of Mandi meat from Saudi Arabia. The service is outstanding as well, especially thanks to the server Abdihakim, who is incredibly welcoming and friendly.
