Hamdi is a traditional Somalian and East African Restaurant. The place is truly unique, casual and very rustic inside. They have plenty of places to sit and also offer a large private family section according to their traditions and culture. The server was very friendly. There are no paper menu’s. The menu is on a big monitor in the front of the restaurant showing labeled pictures of the food items so you know what it looks like. They don’t have many items but what they do...
This is such a wonderful restaurant. The good and service is phenomenal. I got juice, soup, a large entree with meat, and a banana for less than $20! I couldn’t believe it. Highly recommend - just watch out, some of the sauces are very spicy!
Have been here twice, delicious food every time. I’ve never gotten take-out so I can’t speak to that experience but I enjoyed dine-in. Owner is very nice. Small menu but great options. I recommend the chicken steak or goat which was mostly tender (aside from a couple pieces not on the bone) which was a good surprise (it’s hard to find places that cook goat well).Highly recommend!
